What's the difference between this copy, and the one that was with the Yamato batch of movies posted last year? Is this dual audio? encoded h264, divx, xvid? Is it subbed or dubbed?

well i find this one a bit better quality then the one in the batch one. i got that one too. but its upto you if you wanted to dl it. at first i didnt wanted to do the 3rd one. but someone asked me so i did it. cos i already had this dvd so i ripped it 
also i dont know if this is in that video but on TV and on the cinema they removed some scences of the movie. and at the dvd they put it back in the deleted scenes.

Hey, anyone have the new Yamato movie trailer, it was all over the net a few days ago but I can't find it anywhere now? I think it's called Yamato Rebirth or Yamato Revival, it's supposed to be released in Dec 2009.

Having some knowledge of Japanese, I can tell you that these subtitles are slightly off.
For example, when Desslok/Desler subs something like "It's been so long since we've seen Gamilus"after Talan reports they've entered the Magellanic cloud, he actually says something more along the lines of "We were last here seven months and three days ago, Talan." The version in the "Space Battleship Yamato Movie Collection" has pretty dang accurate subtitles, but really low-res visuals to the point that sometimes the subs can vertically take up like half the video.
So, basically, if you want your Dessloks not as chatty with Talan, get this.

Desler has changed a lot since season 1, now I understand why he never try to conquer Iscandar, I thought it was because Iscandar was dying just like Gamilon. This movie also gives you an answer for the reason why he didn't kill Kodai when Yuki was protecting Kodai in Season 2. I hope he appears in the next 2 movies and season 3. I will have to watch the next movie to see if they can defeat the Black Nebula empire.
