backward, download CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) and play the movie with Media Player Classic.

Thanks for this encode.

A question though: when I use cccp + mpc + coreavc to play this mpc always refuses to show the proper aspect ratio it seems stuck at 4:3. I have to manually set the video frame to 16:9 to make it look right, Using zoom player though always outputs correctly [AR is set as source derived]. This is the first mkv i've played back that does this.

Any tips how to make mpc do the AR properly everytime?

Also @ Big-guy can you post screen shot of your xvid encode that shows the hardsubs? Thanks.

oi. it's 700MB not GB ;-)
Even so, you're right, 700GB is not even possible, especially for movies or for any one file
and if anyone has a file that can prove me wrong they are officially a memory storage GOD   :innocent:

I remember Dattebayo making an HD encode of this movie based on an HDTV broadcast some years back. It was in 1920x1024 resolution. To those who've seen that encode, do you think it's a lot better video quality-wise than the one presented here?

Sure, I just don't care enough about this movie to do something about it. :-P feel free to offer yourself.

I never requested to offer an HD encode. I merely asked if the people that saw the encode think it's better than the one that's here on BBT.

But in any case, I might consider offering it.

So I finally found that old HD version I once had. I'm now trying to make an offer for it. Unfortunately, only Power Users can make offers, and since I'm not a Power User, I can't upload it. Unless someone is willing to take this file themselves and offer it for me.
