Kiddy Girl-and Pilot OVA [Ayu]  

Knowing the popularity of the first series it's only a matter of time before it is on the DNL list (might be while it's airing or after it's finished airing in Japan)

I tried really hard to get really into the original series.  I mean I even got the BOME Collectibles ( http://www.tmpanime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1636 ) but I found the original series somewhat... slow?  The character design is absolutely brilliant but the female lead seemed kinda generic.

Meh, not much point in saying that it would be on any DNL list until it actually happens.  I think that this series has some very neat qualities but I dunno if it's so easy to say that its definintely gonna get liscenced.

The original story had too much back story. I mean you were ok with i think the first 4 or 5 episodes then it side tracks to i too some messed up stuff with much reason. Then you got some  downtime with a large back story that went no where and the a bunch of action in the last 3 episodes. I find the beginning and end nice but the middle is where they lost me.  The stories were nice but you get a "so what does that have to do with now."  I mean yeah it was good to know that but i didn't add anything and trying to make it mysterious was kinda a failure in building up suspense and tension.  But i can't say no to girls with nice legs and a gun.

There's no storyline TO continue.... Hell, from the promo it looks like Eclair  dies, understandable since a new pair are the maincharacters for KG2, but still I'd rather have Eclair and Lumiere continue the series. The only to expect from this series is a new threat. The Nobleeisk... or is it Nouvelesse? are all but gone, which were the main build-up for KG.

Honestly, it's going to be hard to make a decent plot for a 2nd season. Also, Funimation gets 1st rights to the 2nd season, if it's not wanted then it's up for grabs, they still do hold the license.

They both could still be Eclair and Lumierre in the new series. Plus for me the original series was amazing. The beginning was generic but laid out a good amount of filler eps to understand the chars initially. The middle is the result of what most considered the result of Eclair's memories from past lives. The last portion is the result is Eclair finally accepting herself and obtaining her lost memories and powers. Plus they end the series continuing their job so theres plenty left to do. So I urge everyone to give the 1st season a chance for its sake.

The original series held my attention for a long while, but then sidetracked and I really disconnected once the protagonists changed appearances.  I didn't know who was who anymore and was confused, so I gave up.

I've got the whole DVD series, so maybe I'll give it another shot.

But definitively, I won't buy the 2nd season on DVD before I download it.

This seems more like a trailer than a pilot. Not to mention it seems to contain spoilers of what's going to happen in the second season.

The first one wasn't the greatest. I'll give the second a shot, but I've got low expectations.
