or, could some1 please upload this in avi format. I think my problem is that its in mkvMKV is just a container format. The file extension itself isn't what your PC is having trouble with. You need to install some kind of AVC decoder, CoreAVC is a good one, and then it should be able to play the files fine. I'm running a PC that pre-dates the H264 fansub era by about two years and I very rarely have trouble playing files.

The subtitles were decent, mistakes were scene throughout all four videos. They decided, "Hey, lets not sub this insert song, cause we can." While also thinking, "Hey, I like this insert song, lets sub it." I also recall them translating the same phrase, into two completely different words, which draws confusion if you don't read for detail.
Not bashing the subbers, but if you sub one thing, sub everything.
This is just a recap of the events of DESTINY, there's nothing new, nothing out of the ordinary. If you want to watch the entire series in about 5 hours, then sure, watch it. Otherwise, go back to the actual series to learn more of the story.

I watched Gundam Seed and it wasn't bad, in fact kind of entertaining, if I overlook the fact that it's an inferior remake of 0079.
But DESTINY is generally hated among the fanbase (even the ones that liked SEED) so...are the movies better than the series, with all the changes implemented ? Is the story still there or has it been heavily cut ?

Amazing! Its better than individual episodes series since it sums up all the good and important parts and left out all the boring and dull parts.

Nice of you to draw your own conclusion. The insert songs in the first movie were karaoked in the first movie because there were no more than five subtitles appearing during that time. Other songs were karaoked because characters in the show were performing concerts. Other than that, yes, two or three inserts songs were not karaoked because they took place during important battles and I thought it prudent to focus more on the actual content of the scene rather than the jpop song playing in the background.
Also, come off it about the "translate everything the same." That's one of the things I hate about more "traditional" fansubs if you even want to call it that. It's that they translate phrases the same and don't try to use colloquialism when applicable. I spent a fair amount of time comparing these subtitles to the official DVD subs, and my translation was par for the course. Thanks for jumping the gun and thinking the people who subbed this are inconsistent incompetents, because we're not. If you had trouble following the subtitles because I edited them better than Haro Tori did for their TV episodes, maybe you should go bug them to raise this project from the dead and actually finish it.
