Anyone else disappointed like me that it wasn't a full length movie like the other Digimon Movies? Anyway its a nice quick watch.

Does anyone want me to upload any screen shots?

It's short, it's fun, the girl is cute, the animation is way better then the series. It's enjoyable.

I don't know why it's so short. I reckon it should of been an OVA instead and not a movie.

why couldn't they make a digimon season from the X-Revolution movie? it'd probably get some real good ratings. I kind of wonder if they'll ever cross any of the seasons in another season or movie, now that's something I bet quite a few people would like to see.

Urm, definitely nice animation, seriously cute girl, but awfully short length...i wuz like carrying all the snacks i have, then the movie ended before i can finish my first pack of snack. Anyway, i found a production glitch at 14:48 of 21:06...notice how the blazer of Rhythm disappear and appear repeatedly when she was supposed to have not wearing the blazer before that scene!?!?! btw, creative ending animation too, haha!

So I thought ‘What is this doing here while RyRo’s version is available on their Savers torrent?’ While I was trying to figure out what the proper way of telling staff that a torrent should be removed was, it occurred to me that I should compare this release to RyRo’s rather than blindly assume that RyRo’s is better.

Turns out the translation is equally decent and WPP’s styling is probably better (no fancy fonts)—but then WPP’s version is hardsubbed while RyRo’s is softsubbed. As for the video, RyRo evidently performed colour matrix conversion that assumed the source used the BT.709 matrix, which is wrong according to the DVD ISO (which I downloaded just to verify this). They also cropped the sides for no good reason. Proceeding to encoding quality, I’ve made a screenshot comparison. RyRo’s screenshots were downscaled to match WPP’s, except #5 which is #4 with WPP’s screenshot upscaled to match RyRo’s instead. In the first two examples, RyRo’s version seems to have better detail retention, but the situation is reversed in the last two. (Before anyone asks, I did make sure for each example that the frame types were the same.) Purely theoretically, the encoding settings reported in WPP’s file are much better, while the bitrate is lower (nominal: 827 vs 1337 Kbps) and the video contains hardsubs.
