I request for someone here to please offer the English Dub...

Why? To see a heavily censored version of this show?  :-P

I prefer watching Digimon in English Dub, that's my only reason.

Digimon Season 5 Dub DVD ISO was available at AsianDVDClub.org, but the uploader removed it.

Which version of the movie is higher quality? RyRo's or WPP's? I seem to be getting conflicting responses.

In this torrent...

"zeroid, I'll definitely speak for the quality of RyRo's encode of the movie.  Much better than WPP's in my opinion.  I'm a bit biased though, as I'm an encoder for their Adventure project (I'm uploading that once it's done!).  Unfortunately I can't say I'd download it, seeing as I already have it.."

In the WPP torrent

"So I thought ‘What is this doing here while RyRo’s version is available on their Savers torrent?’ While I was trying to figure out what the proper way of telling staff that a torrent should be removed was, it occurred to me that I should compare this release to RyRo’s rather than blindly assume that RyRo’s is better.

Turns out the translation is equally decent and WPP’s styling is probably better (no fancy fonts)—but then WPP’s version is hardsubbed while RyRo’s is softsubbed. As for the video, RyRo evidently performed colour matrix conversion that assumed the source used the BT.709 matrix, which is wrong according to the DVD ISO (which I downloaded just to verify this). They also cropped the sides for no good reason. Proceeding to encoding quality, I’ve made a screenshot comparison. RyRo’s screenshots were downscaled to match WPP’s, except #5 which is #4 with WPP’s screenshot upscaled to match RyRo’s instead. In the first two examples, RyRo’s version seems to have better detail retention, but the situation is reversed in the last two. (Before anyone asks, I did make sure for each example that the frame types were the same.) Purely theoretically, the encoding settings reported in WPP’s file are much better, while the bitrate is lower (nominal: 827 vs 1337 Kbps) and the video contains hardsubs."

I was mostly concerned about the guy in the WPP torrent mentioning that RyRo cropped the sides, which I don't like, then I realized that I am going to convert these to DVD format and would be changing the resolution to 720x480 (Which I think controls how the picture is cropped?). This is the only resolution option for DVD format for my converter, so would I end up cropping the movie no matter which version I choose? The only reason I was going to grab WPPs version was because of the RyRo supposedly cropping the sides, but if my converting is going to crop the sides anyway, I'll probably stick with RyRo's version if it truly is the superior version in terms of video fidelity (I don't care about WPP's release being hardsubbed).
