What average joe would run with his life on the line while filming? well I would. and I know many more, that's a way of living, through the lens and through art. that's why I really like this anime and became glad when found it here; just got four eps for some years ago when I first saw it, nearly forgot about it and then saw it here- in full version! happy me can see the rest of it now, some years later... :3

Great i love this series and i just found this torrent so verry happy it can't be as bad as the steam i watched of it.

Great anime, and with a great way of telling the story. The animation is fantastic and the battles are amazing, very realistic - much like what we might see in real life - not that high-powered gun-ho stuff we all see in other anime. And the mechas are totally awesome in this anime, if you like mecha, what this anime.
The documentary way of story telling is always interesting. Obviously the whole effect is supposed to make the show feel more real. But I think it does grow old quickly, especially when there are lots of interruption-type transitions. It took me a while to get used to it.
Flag does has its ups and downs in its pace of events, which in its own way is good because it makes the anime all the more realistic - war isn't a constant firefight, there are lloonngg time periods of just waiting. You've really gotta force yourself to just stick to it sometimes.
I didn't like how the ending went. It struck me as extremely unattached and lacking of closer. It could have been way different, and in my (unprofessional and biased) opinion, probably should have assuming that the creators wanted this anime to have better re-watch value.
