Meant to replace this version by zhentarim; Oh My Goddess! OVA (Dual Audio)

These are v2 encodes of this OVA by Exiled-Destiny based on the remastered DVDs, compared to zhentarims they retain a lot more detail, are a lot sharper, look less washed out,  audio is miles better, and the colors, especially the skin colors, look more natural.
On the other hand it's darker in tone, however that might be more close to the original as in zhentarim's encode, whenever there's a very bright frame, almost all smaller details blend into the background whereas they're still visible in E-D's...
One other downside to this encode is it only has imagesubs (vobsub) from the DVDs whereas zhentarims has textsubs (srt)...

Not to say this is perfect; I've seen some screenshots from the R2DVDs and they lacked 'rainbowing' compared to the equivalent screenshots from the US release, however you can still spot some here, so was the source E-D used R1?...

I have the R2J DVDs and there were some small rainbowing there too. I haven't seen the R1s so I don't know how they compare, though.

Hmm.. A few minutes ago AniSubs' release has been upped on TokyoTosho. I guess I'll check quality of that one first. Besides, this way I won't hurt my ratio here :-)

Edit: there's English/Japanese dual audio as well, and
Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 640x480 29.97fps
Audio: AAC 44100Hz stereo
Subtitle: Advanced SubStation Alpha

I think AniSubs' release was encoded from the old R1 release, same as zx. Unless they did a new version. Not saying that it's any better or worse, just that this version started with a better source.

haven't seen anybody mentioned this, but anybody notice the audio is out of sync by .25 or .5 second too slow in compare to video? To be more precise, I don't know what's broken but sometimes it's in sync and sometimes I can see the video go waayy ahead (1+ seconds) of the audio. I'm using CCCP, running on Core 2 Duo extreme so it's not my comp's speed, tried both MPC homecinema and Zoom player. Zoomplayer shows the issue better when the frame freeze thing, MPC will either go too fast or slow in frame rate... Tried looking in Aegisub, the audio seems to be .25 second too late, but once I start going back to look again, frames start dropping...

Tried remuxing with those -250ms or -750ms "delay", didn't see much difference, but from the frame dropping thing, my guess is the video not playing right.

I don't know... would be great if anybody can confirm this...

I used to have the zx version. But my collection is gone so looking for this anime again.
After seeing the screenshots I'm even more in doubt, I actually like the zx version better! much warmer look, I think it sort of has its charm.
maybe should get both then:P

@v123
This is the OVA, not the version that aired on TV, so there are only 5 episodes in it.

On a completely different note, does anyone know where I can find this in .avi format?

Watched the TV series before the OVAs, sadly I liked the TV series better.
