This film is wonderful. So is "Only Yesterday". They are similar as they both have to do with coming of age and making decisions about the future and happiness. Ghibli (esp. Miyazaki) consistently produces profound, relevant and moving films. I don't understand why over 95% of American mainstream (live-action or animation) cannot come close. You would think we would have learned something from them.

You know... if you wanted to be accurate with the song op and ed credits there, you would add the actual writers:
Written by John Denver, Taffy Nivert, & Bill Danoff; (ED) Japanese Translation by Mamiko Suzuki; & Arrangement by Yuji Nomi
Lot of work goes into songs, besides just the vocalists
One of the only Anime I can think of that uses an altered American song as a main theme. Lots of thanks for the upload, I've been needing to watch this one.

I have a problem with deleting the [LRE]_Whisper_of_the_Heart_[x264.AC3_5.1]_[CD91C03A].mkv file. Can someone help me? Try running a disk check with all the options selected, you probably have some bad clusters on your hard disk.
