GITS is one of my favorites of all time. It's a shame normal TV/movies aren't nearly as interesting. It's one of the rare occasions where you have an interesting possible future and characters with a lot of depth. GITS adds great animation, incredible music, and a really interesting plot on top of that.
The KAA release has incredible quality at some times and horrible blocking at other times, especially in low-light scenes (scenes inside the DEA narc squad's van come to mind). In normal high-light scenes it's stellar quality though. The audio is top-notch also. I don't think it's anything to do with my setup, cause as far as I can tell it's just using ffdshow from CCCP. For reference, I'm comparing to the other version I have (the mix of LMF and AonE). That release feels a bit blurry in most scenes (looks like a TV rip), but is much better in the scenes that KAA's is bad at.

RELEASE IS COMPLETELY BUGGY. 15 seconds into the OP - file crashes and pixelates.

IF your having issues running the video's be sure that your using a decent player with proper codecs, such as VLC

episodes 17-20 seem to be corrupted... ive already tried redownloading them .. is any one else having these problems>They're not corrupted. KAA seems to want to force us to use the CCCP codec pack. It didn't work when I had the K-Lite Codec pack installed, and it corrected itself after installing CCCP.

July 24th 2009 (3 years and 9 months and 24 days)at first i was just going to add a4e's Eng. track to these files but the resulting file was 372MB.
i wanted to keep my standard 13 eps per DVD so i used KAA's video and subs w/ both a4e audio tracks.
ppl on a4e's comments said their audio was off but i didn't have a problem (tho i prefer this one's)
all in all i got what i needed and the resulting files are only 319MB compared to both's
original 341MB. THANKS AGAIN!
