not to be a downer, but isnt tenchi on the DNU list?**edit** i actually think i'm might be wrong. I just thought I remembered seeing it, but it does not seem to be there now.

If you don't have a paid account, Photobucket resizes the images to a maximum resolution of 1024x768...
OK...I re-uploaded the images using the 1MB file size limit...that's as big as they are going to get. The result is they are now all different sizes... but bigger than they were originally.

This is an *amazing* Tenchi movie...the first exposure I had to the franchise, and hooked me right in. If you haven't seen it, you really should.
Check at least the wikipedia page about Tenchi Muyo if you are unfamiliar with the story...if you don't know who the Jurai are the plot may be confusing at first.

I honestly don't know why anyone uses photobucket here. In addition to resizing constraints, they have bandwidth caps that I see people running into all the time.
Here is what the description looks like in Firefox on Linux. For reference, here is it on Opera, also Linux.
EDIT: Alrighty, it looks like there's something very weird with my system that I don't care to troubleshoot at the moment. I changed the body text to 13.1px (from 13px), and it's all pretty to me now, and should look the same to everyone else.

I believe this is by far the best made one in Tenchi world. Highly recommended, even if you're new to the series.
For some complicacy in plots: the long Tenchi series itself tends to have some discrepancy to other works, so you shouldn't bother too much in every details. It is known that there're too many secrets and truths never published and/or only appear in novels; e.g. even Tenchi's mother is not her in other work (!). Maybe they're somewhat shifted parallel to each other.
Oh, I found I still have this one in LD... the disc is pretty clean but player is already gone. Aww.

Oh, I found I still have this one in LD... the disc is pretty clean but player is already gone. Aww.Heh. I have that too stashed somewhere. I think my old ass pioneer player still works. The LD was one of these dual language pioneer releases, it looked and sounded beautiful.
Christopher Franke's soundtrack was pretty good too. It was released in the US too.
Damn, I have so many great memories of that movie.
Even though I'll have to downscale it to 720p, I'm so getting this.
The second movie (Tenchi in love 2 in japanese IIRC ?) wasn't as good but I really liked its design.

this 1080p version is a very good work from thora as always, but without enabling gpu support in playback in MPC, there are problems.As i mentioned...high bit rates... lots of coughing and spluttering
well took me a bit to work out how to sovle the audio getting out of sync due to high CPU useage...
found CoreAVC will solve this problem as it will use the GPU to accelerate to help
you do have to turn off FFDShow for h.264 to aloow CoreAVC to work.
I did try MPC home cinema but it didnt work at all...
hope that helps someone trying to fix this and save a bit of searching
