i was just wondering is this manga worth reading? i have alot of free time on my hands and am searching for manga to read and can you guys give me names of other nice anime or manga. I will be thankful

Um, to answer your question, *ahem, cough*  ... YES! This is the most amazing manga ever. I absolutely fell in love with it. I read it on another site first and now I'm downloading it here for a hopefully higher quality version. It has the perfect blend of action, character development, emotional involvement, and a touch of romance. I also liked it cause Haru is not a superhero with super-saiyan-esque abilities, but a fairly normal guy whom fate chooses to "fight the power". Most of the time he's fighting enemies much higher level. In some of the encounters I honestly wondered "is he really gonna be able to make it through this?" You can also see the artist, Mr. Hiro Mashima, who went on to write Fairy Tale, develop his skills over the course of the series. Not that it's bad at first or anything, but just look at Elie in the last chapter versus when you first see her. It's pretty awesome. I find myself going back to re-read some of my favorite chapters a lot. :-p

As for other mangas, you might check out Fruits Basket, it's a popular one. Another one which I've seen the anime series but not the manga (d/ling now) is called Peach Girl, it's a high school romance flick with a nice complex main character, bitter rivalry, and pretty good artistic value. There's also Chobits and Elfen Lied, which both kinda focus on a particular female character who is found and cared for by a male protagonist. One that I d/l but haven't read yet is Mahou_Sensei_Negima, I've heard it's pretty good, it's a harem type.  I think all of the above also have anime series associated with them, but idk if the animes cover everything that's in the mangas. I know Rave Master doesn't :/

Edit: There's also Kodomo no Omocha (Child's toy) which is interesting to me because it was written by a female author. It focuses on the life of a child TV star, and the boy who's in love with her. It's kinda silly, but the characters are likeable. Having seen both the manga and anime, I can tell you that the story diverges pretty drastically between the  two. Looks like the anime was removed due to licensing

the comic was great, but the engrish in the last quarter was almost unreadable.

i am reading this in japanese mostly, looking at the pics from this dl, to understand it better. (bc. of the raw's quality i can't always see the furigana...) i am at vol.2 and the enlish translation in this is very bad.
it is like 'chi, nigeyakattaka'
means: damn, did he escape / run away?
translated as: son of a motherless goat! the G made a jet!



edit: another brilliant example:
DB ha kowasaretenee mitee da
kaishuu shite oke
hai

means:
it seems that the DB hasn't been broken.
retrieve it
yessir

tr. as:
yes. and his DB was (!!!!) destroyed.
prepare rapsodia for liftoff. we're moving out. (????)
yessir

vol 7. higashi means east, but is tr. as west. there is a map there too omg fail

also note that the special which explains a part of puru's past at the end of vol.6 rave 0065 seems to be missing and the rest of the stuff that in at the end of a volume too.

in vol 10 a ~60 pages long background story 'knights of kingdom' seems to be missing.
