Not much to say other than this anime is great--if you're bored through the first couple episodes, stick with it--I didn't really realize its greatness until the 4th and 5th episodes.
Also one of the only shows where I actually watch the opening and closing credits--not because the song is better than other anime's opening/closing themes, but because it really helps you get in the mood for it. This is not an anime you can watch impatiently.

this doesn't look all that dystopic... Quite utopic, in fact.
This is, beyond the shadow of a doubt, not utopic. The dystopic features of Kino's world are so patently evident, it's almost impossible to overlook them. Regardless, this anime was incredibly enjoyable.
