Are the other short clips available anywhere? o_OYes on the old xvid episodes from CA according to SalmonMoose on myanimelist:

The first ep (Good Morning Mylene) is a separate file, and the rest are tacked on to the end of M7 eps 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44 and 47.I just wanted to download those 11 old xvid episodes, but now they're gone...
edit:
Quick direct stream copy with virtualdub + rename, macross 7 plus episode 1-12:

Someone can probably do a better job, these are completely unofficial. First episode already in the torrent above just renamed and added for fun! If someone is looking for the full xvid episodes, they can be found on Tokyo Toshokan (use the Magnet Link)

So, maybe I'm misunderstanding this, but if there are 11 more PLUS clips out there, is this really 'Complete'?
And if it is not, should this have been considered before the Macros's XviD upload was vanquished?

Erm, I'm not entirely sure if you're a hardcore SDF fan or something, but frontier was excellent, a clear evolution of macross series in a good direction. Zero gave a really good backstory (and was the first macross with proper 3d modelled fights). 7 is... well, 7. A sort of filler between SDF and Frontier that tried to conclude the original SDF timeline and wasn't very successful at it. It still isn't half bad.

Finally was able to finish the tv series was interrupted by life too many times this past week. I avoided this show because I thought it was too lighthearted for a Macross series, most Macross series are serious. After watching Macross Frontier one of the characters liked Fire Bomber and thier music was considered classics, so that pushed me to give it a shot. Mixed feelings about this show, always love a cool mech fights but the ones in this show lacked polish that I saw in Macross and Macross Frontier. As for the music, the intro was well done I could watch that on repeat, the band Hummingbird which doubled for Fire Bomber do have the chops and it was interesting choice to go with a band instead of an idol singer. The music grew on me and I definitly like how they went the extra mile to work the song versions. As for the pacing the show felt like it took a long time to get it's legs and I wish other characters were explored more such as Millia and Max or Ray and Veffidas. My one main gripe is the lack of tension between Basara, Mylene and Gamlin; their relationships could have provided for better/more drama, Basara just seemed in his own world most of the time. As a side note or distraction, alot of music from Macross II shows up in this show as radio from other bands or other bands performances. I bought the US release of the Macross II OST and forgot how well done it was, to the point of liking it more thn Fire Bomber sometimes. Some music from Macross Plus shows here and there and it took me out of the show and reminded me of the scenes that they were orginally in.

I'm up to the Macross 7 Encore so far. I keep hoping something great will happen with that poor little fan-girl with the flowers. I feel kinda sorry for her. LOL

just curious....are these episodes subbed? new to the site and just making an inquiry. I actually had copies of master tapes (vhs) from central anime from back in the day years and years ago. I use to know one of the old encoders for central anime. Long story short some kids broke into my place and stole all my fansubbed vhs tapes (shoulndt have had them in fancy boxes) were all stolen. Found a link to this site and i'm hoping to rewatch one of my favorite animes.

Missing in CA's new softsubbed mkvs compared to CA's old hardsubbed avis:
Dynamite 1-4 -> "Emotion" logo before start (boring)
Dynamite 1-2&4 -> music album adverts at end (just some - more or less - boring text)
Encore 1 -> Ads at end (e.g. for Macross Plus Vol.2)
Encore 2 -> Ads
Movie -> Ads at the end (e.g. for Macross Plus English version and a short scene with the singer of Mylene)
FOTS -> some text at the beginning ("Unbroadcast TV Episode - Fleet of the Strongest Women"
+ end
As for normal eps of the tv series (usually length is lower than/around at 25min and if it was higher there was more):
Macross 7 PLUS (GMM as single file and then at the end of 08, 12, 16, 24, 32, 36, 40, 44, 47)
Special Presentation (live convert scene at end of 28)

New in this mkvs:
* Better quality and softsubbed (therefore higher size)
* Being incomplete in a way (see above)
* Some untranslated text notes at the end of some eps
Or?
Macross 7 Plus episodes according to ja.wp:
マクロス7 ぷらす (Macross 7 Plus)
1. グッドモーニング・ミレーヌ (Guddo Mōningu Mirēnu, Good Morning Mylene)
2. 突撃あこーすてぃっくラブハート (Totsugeki Acoustic Love Heart)
3. 大道格闘士 美比夷陀 不火洲
4. レイとアキコとステファンと… (Rei to Akiko to Sutefan to…, Ray & Akiko & Stephan &...)
5. TOP GAMRIN
6. SEVEN BRIDGE
7. Fire Bomber 1st. Live
8. SPIRITIA DREAMING
9. グババの惑星 (Gubaba no Wakusei, Guvava's Planet)
10. シティポリス24時! (Shiti Porisu 24-ji!, City Police 24 Hours)
11. MILIA THE PRESIDENT
12. Let's Bomber!
If I'm not mistaken, then TV-Japan's Macross 7 commercial raw doesn't replace all the commercials from C-A's Macross 7 OVAs (Dynamite, Encore) and the movie.
TV-Japan released some raws - so here a few lousy transcripts of C-A's subs etc.:

the torrent might be very good, but the anime really SUCKS !if you come from the unfrogettable SDF-1 Macross, avoid it and all the other Frontier, Zero, Plus....
I hope your not telling everyone to forget about Zero, Plus and Frontier, those shows are absolutely incredible. Zero and Frontier are visually alone worth the watch, and their respective stories are well crafted as well. Plus's art took some getting used to, but its story is very music centered, without being borderline psychotic like Seven's.
Seven for me, was a disappointment only because of how absolutely ridiculous its premise was: an obsessive singer who uses a state of the art Valkyrie (Never mind that said Valkyrie has a face, and is controlled via guitar.) to defend the galaxy against parasitic vampires. Combined with little to no character development, and lackluster directing makes this show really bad in comparison. That being said, if you can forget that its Macross canon, and that its supposed to be taken seriously, I found myself enjoying it much more.
There's a reason why most fans say forget the series, buy the CDs.

All the hate for Macross 7 in here is really depressing... if you ask me, it was the last true Macross sequel. Frontier is just a bunch of faceless monsters and beam weaponry. That's not Macross, that's everything wrong with the rest of giant robot anime. Bring back the gatling weapons and Pinpoint Barrier Punches, and for god's sakes get rid of those ridiculous beam swords! Not to mention the all-over-the-place nonsensical plot and... Klan Klan. Just Klan Klan.

Unless anyone has something constructive to say regarding the releases found in this torrent or the animes themselves, I don't want to hear any more off-topic discussion with regards to filesize, etc. I'd also like to see a little more fucking civility, too. What are you people, 12yr olds? If you can't express your point of view without insulting the other person, then you shouldn't be posting comments here.

September 4th 2010 (2 years and 8 months and 16 days)Well, basically the only thing the XviD torrent has going for it now is that it's half the filesize of this one. But filesizes are not that much of an issue anymore nowadays it seems.
The XviD-H264 third party compatibility arguments are basically a non-issue nowadays; staff has been steadily deleting XviD torrents the past months. That is, those that have identical contents to their H264 counterparts.
P.S.: my money is on Blubart...
