I downloaded this from a random tracker, and watched it. The first 3 episodes were absolutely EPIC!!!!
The 4th was good too. I liked the parody episode, 1337 rocks     . And I don't know if it's just me, but the Boy and Girl are identical to Gohan and Bidel  :-D :-D :-D . Btw 1337 has epic lines hahaha...
The CG episodes were pretty good too. But the first 3 are the best. :)

All i see, is biased comments.

guys, the halo franchise is strong, storywise, i liked the sp of all the halos but the mp was never my thing.
but so what if the anime is based on a western game, wow, its still done by the japanese so it can be considered japanese anime.

animatrix was quite good.
things don't have to be exactly like the orginals, i don't know why people would even want that.
and the thing with doom is, the fact that if you had monsters coming from hell or what ever, people would laugh, i think the movie done it justice, it just changed how the monsters came about.

games and movies are not meant to be the same, they based on each other, meaning the same universe, so any story can happen.
I bet if this was made without the halo name, or without anyone knowing it was halo, but followed the same storyline it would get better praise.

i would laugh if they made a halo movie, i don't think it would do it justice with the cgi and everything.

maybe if it had the budget of avatar and was being made by the guy who made avatar then maybe that would be better.

I will state that the art style is abit bland, for an anime, but if it was being made by shaft, key, or bones alone it might have come across as better.

i would give this anime a 7.5/10

The Doom movie was pure trash.

That is why he said is was an accurate game to movie translation :zing:

Offended.

didn't like avatar.  didn't like the doom movie.  never liked halo, in any form whatsoever.

still a waste of bandwidth.  just like the animatrix.

opinions are like assholes.  this one just has a massive 'gape-factor'.

The Doom movie was pure trash.  Don't let Hollywood touch anything unless the entire team is a diehard fan of the franchise and use an exact translation of the game script.

unfortunately that will result in a rather narrow audience.  th goal when making Hollywood adaptations of video games, anime, or even books should be to recreate the spirit and feel of the source material.  you wil never have a exact translation from game to movie, and to be frank if you did it would be a pile of shit.  what works in games dosent necessarily work in movies.  the pacing and storytelling methods used are very different.

besides, its not like Doom (the game) had a really deep storyline.  it had an interesting premise and the rest of the game was you shooting hellspawn.  tell me that 2 hours of that would make a good movie.  i dare ya.

they created a pretty decent sci fi action/thriller with enough nods to the game that should make the fans happy.

people need to stop having unrealistic expectations about video game movies.  im not saying Doom was a great movie.  but i am saying it was a fun sci fi romp.

give it a rest.

the Halo Legends thing looks cool.  it builds on the Halo universe just like the novels and the I Love Bees ARG did.  i am all for that.

if you didnt like anyform of Halo and have no interest in the Halo universe why are you even posting her?  not to sound rude, but why should anyone about to download this  give a shit about the opinion of someone who dosent even like Halo?  if you dont like anything about Halo go download something else.  but posting here saying that this is shit and a waste of bandwidth is childish.

I honestly don't care much for Halo, not saying it's bad, but just not my thing, though I have played all the games, as I find the story interesting, I'll give this a shot.

I would have to agree with that, not only is it childish, it's rude. If you don't like it, and didn't even bother to download it, why come here and talk trash about it.

One could say trippay that your comments are a "waste of bandwidth". I don't care much for Halo, it's not my thing, but a lot of people do, no need to trash something because you don't like it. So trippay as you said "opinions are like assholes" everyone has one but no one wants to hear them, keep that in mind. :-)

There is a series of books based on the Doom story that was pretty damn good.  The first book takes the reader exactly through the first game with additional characters and then branches off elsewhere after that.  90 minutes of a group of survivors fighting for their lives every inch of the movie would definitely be a good movie.  Just like the game; keep adding monsters and weapons, throw in a few chances of salvation until the finale.  And it would stay true to the source material.  What they titled 'Doom' was hardly Doom at all.  Take Aliens and some of the better zombie movies as examples.

Doom actually has a very interesting storyline (imo) and makes cool sci-fi connections to the real world.  The Doom movie is one of my top most hated movies of all time because it seemed like it did nothing but make a mockery of the true Doom.  They turned it into a very bad sci-fi Resident Evil knock-off... they took out everything that made Doom what it was like the portals and demons (mutants in the movie).

Back onto the subject of Halo Legends, I'm on the fence about watching it; I'm not a big Halo fan and have heard some negative things about it.  I believe the IMDB rating for it right now is only at 6.1 but it doesn't have many votes yet.

I was in the same place 2 and half hours ago, but do it you won't regret it!

After watching them all straight, I have to say I loved them all except episode 3. I understand they were trying to give a different perspective, and present Halo in a new way, but I didn't care for it, and the blurry art style was frustrating and not to my taste. This is not a waste of bandwidth in any way. Totally worth it, and IMO a must watch.

half of these short clips are completely "WTF is this shit!" :-|

I know how you feel. I was actually disappointed by this as a whole. Episodes 5, 7, and 8 were the only ones I liked.

I'm much more picky. I like 7. I hate the blurry one, the gay emo clone one and the one with gundam, FUCKING GUNDAM!. the rest are 'meh', especially 8: Appleseed in Halo skin - how lame.

I thought it was pretty good. The episodes had nice stories and gave you a bit more information on the Halo universe. The first 2 eps and ep 7 were the best in my opinion. It's worth the download.

^^Agreed. We just need the right people to catch an interest in a Japanese animation. I'm still looking forward to the GITS adaptation. People behind promises action...lots of action so at least it'll be somewhat entertaining.

Although Cameron is not the one I am seeing when I think about a Berserk anime. And Metal Gear Solid would make a very nice and interesting anime. I loved the first game, but never got into the second.

I never expected so many people to have an interest in Halo, I wonder how many seeders this'll have in the end? Right now the numbers are shocking!

Problem is that hollywood make always stupid trash movies from something great and deep.

That's very nice. Thing is,your opinion is not the majority.
It' doesn't matter that you don't like Avatar, but Avatar has surely made, what,a hundred times more money than your favorite movie?
Same thing can go for your lame criticism on Legends. No one gives a fu*k.

This was really good. took the story and ideas established by the Halo Franchise and expanded on it 5 fold.

This is great, with the exception of episode 3. Coming from a huge Halo fangirl who has played all of the games and read all of the novels.
