I wonder if this will ever be adapted into anime or manga... That would be awesome, wouldn't it?
Though I would be pretty upset if they didn't do the story justice.
Also, starting Volume 2 was really hard. Volume 1 ended with most of everything wrapped up (except for the whole Zero thing), And I agree that it was weaker.

Volume 5 came out!! Baka Tsuki already translated the prologue. I'll only read it when they're done but I'm so excited about this!
EDIT: When volume 5 is finished and this torrent gets swapped by one including it, I think we should exchange the version of the first volume of the novel with the most recent one released by Baka-Tsuki (the version in this torrent has a lot more typos and other mistakes, also the images are displayed correctly on the v2.)

Volume seven will be the last.yeah... honestly, the series has turned out to be quite different than how I had projected to be when I first started reading. Like the author has been saying in his afterwords, he prefers Daiya so Daya is getting all of the usual main character backstories and twists.
I also didn't expect things to go the way they did between Kazuki and Maria...

May 17th 2012 (1 year and 4 days)Though I have to say that the synopsis here, even though it is the official one, isn't all that interesting to be honest. I remember reading it and it didn't compel me to read. I much prefer the one that was added a few months back in the baka tsuki site, which, if you allow me, I'll quote:
"Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria, or The Empty Boxes and The Zeroth Maria, tells the sinister story of Kazuki Hoshino, who is almost madly attached to his everyday life, and his antagonist Aya Otonashi, who suddenly transfers into his class—for the 13,118th time. She majestically announces to “break” him, without paying heed to anyone else around them.
This is but the start of a dark roller coaster ride that turns the two against themselves, the people around them and the one who may be god. Read on as their relationship slowly changes and they go against their most basic values in their struggle against the world itself."
That is one epic description of an epic series.
I wonder if this will ever be adapted into anime or manga...
