Javelin, I HAVE a copy of this on VHS somewhere... God I feel old.. 
If I remember correctly, this has got to be one of the most hilariously horrible English dubs ever made. Sounds like each of the voice actors laid down their lines separately, without ever having even heard how the others played their respective roles. Half the voice actors pronounced Junko's name as 'Junk-oh'.

i missed this old school classic.
with some plot exposition and some character upgrades (i.e the 3 sisters) i could see this go 12 episodes.

That's actually how most dubs are done

I didn't think it was all that bad. It looked more like bad acting mixed with good acting. But still there was bad acting, nonetheless.
Saki Asamiya, the main character. Her voice was good enough. I know Amanda Winn Lee pretty well. She knew what she was doing. Junko's voice was not bad either. As for Sampei, its not his acting thats bothering me, its his voice, I mean the way he sounds. He wasn't being natural.
Remi Mizuchi sounded way too old for her age. She sounds like my auntie when she talks. Ayumi sounds alright when she talks. Its that damn laughter of hers that I despise. And for Emi, don't have much to say for her, except she sounded like a bitch.
As for the teacher, who despises Saki. His voice was decent too.
On the side note, I noticed the video was skipping on the second part. I noticed it during the scene when Saki and the teacher were talking the bar.

wow this OVA from 1991 rocks it has potential to be made into anime-series like they did with The Guyver,Golgo 13 and Silent Mobius I know there were two live action movies based on this title but seriously does anyone knows if an animated studio is working on a new series despite the appearances of characters resembling 1970's drawings of Galaxy Express and Captain Harlock?
