Does anyone know, if by any chance, this is superior to the OZC release?

I currently have the aforementioned and I'm wondering if it's worth archiving this one instead.

Also, any chance for Astral Ocean Blu-Ray?

Thanks anyway!

Why not download an episode, compare and tell us? Personally I'm grabbing the OZC release.
*edit* from previous comments in the thread (which you should always look before asking btw :P) It looks like your best holding onto your OCZ release.

I'm not sure if this is a problem only I have, but the last 10 or so episodes (dubbed) don't seem to be in sync. I usually have a delay of 0.3-0.6 seconds.

just got the movie 3 days ago so downloading the series have to watch that first before i watch the movie
thanks for the series also will seed ones downloaded also is this the only series and is there only one movie

Just a heads up, the movie has absolutely no connection to the series.  It's like two different things.  It left me so confused and made me say "no, that's not right at all" the entire time I was watching it.  It was a good movie, though, so if you want, go ahead and watch it.  But I do want you to keep in mind, the creators basically came up with a complete different story/plot, while using the same universe and characters. :)

just so you know, the movie does have a connection.

That's just fan speculation ._.

Uh no, the sequal (that dosent exist, and for the love of god wont be mentioned again) refutes that sorry

A quick comparison to the OZC release shows this one has more background detail at the expense of some more noise and artifacts which probably accounts a little for the larger file size.. line detail is better in the OZC release but only because it's overly sharpened/denoised.

Think I'll still be going with the OZC release tho cos this isn't freeleech, even though it's totally over sharpened.. How do they not notice that?

I'll just have to stomach it I think, maybe turn down my reszier sharpness a notch to compensate.

The Coalgirls release is good, it's just a pity it's not been preprocessed a bit more to help with the sharpness and file size.
I can do the sharpening in realtime.. and I totally planned to.. but there's no way I'm taking a 30gig hit to my ratio.
Moving on.

iirc this one has a shit ton of encoding errors, so neither release is perfect :/

That could be an issue with your video player. I watched the entire Serial Experiments Lain series in Media Player Classic [with all the proper encodes] and it was sooo badly corrupted... I though the corruption was part of the animation [as it fit the mood] my point is I switched from MPC to jRiver and since then... I've yet to experince any corruption with any videos, even SEL, so I think the issue is your player not their encoding!

Sorry Mate. It is not the same case. It is not the issue with media player but the encoder. I have tried ffmpeg, lavf and CoreAvc (2.5) with different renders in several players before and NONE OF THEM could show these clips without broken scenery. So, here, I am pretty sure it is encoder's fault and they have not released any patch to fix that yet.

Get it while you can!  Funimation bought the license to Eureka Seven, and this torrent will probably be taken down soon!

As far as the English audio in episodes 40-49 being out of sync, I have worked hard to come up with a fix.

First off, download MKVToolnix.  Next, using MKVToolnix, add episode 40, click on the “Format specific options” tab, and then select the English audio track, which is labeled “A_AC3…” Next what you’re going to want to do is type in a delay for the English audio track in the “Delay (in ms)” box. The delay that I came up with and am extremely happy about is 450ms, so input “450″ into the box. Then just select where you’d like to save the file, and hit “Start muxing.”

That’s it. Repeat those steps for episodes 41-49 (episode 50 is in sync, which is kind of weird as to why the others aren’t).
