What I get from the comment is that 'requests were made' as opposed to on 'official' request list. I can see where my comment on the 1080 torrent:
might be considered as such.
HOWEVER, I've since grabbed the 720 version and it completely fulfills my needs/desires. Pretty great movie, by the way, for anyone considering it. I'm neutral on this offer (so far), so the mods will have to consider it on its merits. As far as my 'vote,' I'd want to see clear testimony that the fansub on this one offers something of additional value.
If the translation is extra interesting &/or there's footage included here that's missing in the others &/or there's "other" historic archival value, I'd be interesting in downloading & seeding this torrent. Otherwise, I'll pass on it ... gots lots of other torrents & Real Life activities to keep me busy.

some lines that clarify the superiority of fansub translation please.I don't have any of the other versions, and I'm not going to download them because (a) CHD is English only, (b) Thora's subtitles have unreadable subtitle styling and inadequate vertical margin, and (c) Takeshi is VOBSUBs.
If anyone can post the subs for (b) or (c) somewhere, I'd be happy to compare the script with the AonE version.

What I get from the comment is that 'requests were made' as opposed to on 'official' request list.I should've specified that it was my request list that I was talking about, for older fansubs of titles where we only have rips of official subs and/or dubs. It's not official, but it's the most comprehensive list of that nature out there. Of course, it's far from the only request list out there, but that's why Al_Sleeper was poking me.
And come to think of it, even if I had seen this movie, I wouldn't be qualified to judge translations of Korean anyway. Unless there's hardsubbed Japanese subtitles like in Winter Sonata.

You post screens first, and provide the timecodes. Then I'll follow with subs from my version.

Thanks for the clarification. In the overall picture, didn't want my comment to be considered as a direct request (anymore). But, also overall, this movie is pretty good, a nice hard sci fi story and quite well done. If this particular translation/encode has some unique value, it's worthy of positive consideration for archival/historical preservation. If it's approved for that reason, I'll find time & hard drive space to help seed out; 700 MB is small enough & I've no ratio worries. I certainly enjoy seeing alternate translations of good stories; they often help get a truer sense of the original intent.

Is someone going to make a move and post some lines or should I just download and compare myself?

16091 = The security sensor was triggered.
27897 = If we leave him alive, he'll just keep destroying our system.

80146 = Now you'll have to die again, for Jay's sake, and mine!
93633 = Commander Cade, Sir. I was ordered to reinforce security.
Frame numbers don't correlate well. The difference between versions varies between 200 and 800 frames.

If it helps any, I have ASS subs for Takeshi's version; they aren't timed yet, but all the start timings are spot on, just not the end timings. If anyone wants these or the .srt file they were converted from, PM me and I'll get them to you.
EDIT - as requested by archivisth, both .ass & .srt subs are here: http://www.mediafire.com/?rq1qr67l68ufg
These are unworked, so beyond a typo or punctuation change here or there, they should be dialogue verbatim from takeshi's vobsubs.
See comments on Takeshi's torrent regarding two versions/cuts of this movie; it's possible that this one is not the same version at all... what is the running time of this fansub? For Takeshi's version I have 124656 frames @ 23.976 fps ---> running time of 1:26:39.

Well, that does sound about right, and I imagine you'll notice pretty quick that the scenes aren't matching up when you compare the text.
