Seems a small-ish but significant upgrade in video quality, audio is the same and subs are the same R1. Comment by Al_Sleeper on the Henshin version is that the ED sub rip was retimed. Assume timing is the same (or at least good enough) on this offer ..? And it's ~2.2 GB larger (6 this one vs. 3.8 Henshin). Sounds like nothing lost, except a bit of hard drive space, and that buys vid quality.
For a great classic like Dirty Pair, I'm all over an upgrade like that. That extra touch of grain preservation really seems to bring out the old hand-drawn cell look to my eye, one of the artistic charms of this anime. Thanks for the offer, I look forward to an approved on this.

If the Henshin version has something unique worth preserving, maybe bump that one into the D slot?
[ EDIT: heh heh! I've been very happy with the quality of the OnDeed offerings in my collection. I was not expecting any noticeable issue. Forgot to mention, big thumbs-up on the improvement in sub styling. +9001 improvement over flaming construction yellow.
Thanks! ]

I went through the subtitles personaly, everything should be synched and properly scene-timed (standard treatment).
Due to OCR reasons, I worked on top of the subtitles in the Henshin offer and while the video lenghts seem to match, I found that the subtitles weren't always perfectly synchronised (usually there was a dealy of up to 350ms iirc). I didn't investigate how badly it shows with Henshin raws though.
The R1 DVD that Exiled-Destiny used has the preview parts moved before actual episodes, which means the subtitles needed to be rearranged - maybe the comment about retiming meant that.

Better quality of Dirty Pair is always welcome. With softsub and superior video quality to other releases, this is a win.
Thanks

I'd say, you overdid with grain preservation a bit, but that's a matter of personal preferences.

No, but it's quite close to the second screenshot in your picture.

April 3rd 2011 (2 years and 1 month and 20 days)The difference to Henshin:
- Less compressed (I did not smooth either) video. The difference on screenshots isn't that big, it lies mainly in grain preservation I think. Henshin seems to me a bit smoother than the screens suggest (good, bad? I wonder.) Also, I didn't overcrop... What you won't see is that I manualy freezeframed many film burns (where it didn't screw motion) and some warped frames on scenechanges.

- Styled text subs instead of vobsubs (good old yellow).
