those who have only misconceptions. they will always remain at a mediocre level and contemptuous of historical reality and face some truths that fundamentally changed people's lives. You claim the bible (any part of it) as a "historical reality" and I only ask for evidence. I don't believe things without evidence. This is a very practical position to take. So do you have evidence, outside the bible itself, that anything in the bible is actually historically accurate in any way? I've got plenty of examples of how it's not all ready to go.

I assume that you don't believe that god literally wrote the bible. It was revealed to men, correct? So why do you choose to believe those men and not, say, Muhammad, or Joseph Smith, or some guy on the street who claims that HE got revealed knowledge from god?
The first step is to define what god IS, then when you've done that, you have to demonstrate that he exists, THEN you have to provide evidence that the people who received the revealed wisdom oh so long ago were actually receiving knowledge from this god, and not some other god, or suffering from some psychiatric disorder that made them THINK that they were receiving messages from god, and THEN you can use the bible as evidence for anything. Until then it's just a book written by men, like any other, and contains nothing except fables and myths.
Just because the bible contains things that are true (killing = bad, treating others how you would like to be treated = good) doesn't mean that the claims of SUPERNATURAL OCCURRENCES in it are also true. I mean, harry potter has passages that could probably be held up as positive moral lessons, that doesn't make voldemort real.

What i am trying to say is that we should respect each other's contructions of reality and not try to shove our personal views down other people's throats. When religious people stop trying to force their beliefs on others through prosthelytizing, and claiming that THOUGHT CRIME will cause a supreme dictatorial overlord to cause me to suffer for eternity after I die, then I will stop.
And it's not fair to say that all constructions of reality are equally meritorious. If I sit down on a chair and state "I believe that I am sitting on nothing" is that a construction of reality that is equally "true" as a belief that I am, in fact, sitting on a chair?
I'm not really concerned with people's beliefs except insofar as the way that it makes them act. All that matters is what we have evidence for, and there's absolutely no reason to believe something SUPERNATURAL to be true on the basis of the testimony of a bunch of illiterate villagers from 2000 years ago.

If you want to know what is a fable or myth, read it on Mircea Eliade.

WTF? For a moment there I thought I clicked the wrong link or something. Got tired of all the trolling around 10 comments ago, and I don't want to read through all this crap to find one comment that says if this is any good. Animation quality? Art? Sound? Is the dub bearable?
Thanks!
P.S.: "prosthelytizing"? This is the last place I thought I'd see this word used and presented as a bad thing.

Ugh....WHY can't people just download this movie in peace without there being a debate about whether the stories and or tales in the bible are actually factual or not. This animation is based off of religion and some folklore like many other animes, and cartoons out. For example "Gilgamesh" but you don't hear any disputes about that. Just enjoy the freakin movie, and if you don't want to watch it just MOVE ON. You don't have to state you don't want to see it because the events in the animation didn't happen, because honestly I don't think anyone else really cares. We're just here to enjoy good quality movies and anime that these very generous and kind people are willing to upload and share with us.

Albert Einstein: God vs Science: ‘Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God’s love present in his heart. TO READ MORE GO TOhttp://yes-23.com/other/albert-einstein-god-vs-science/
If you want to know what is a fable or myth, read it on Mircea Eliade.
Postmodern man wants to be free ... wanted from the beginning, has failed and will not succeed in the future.
I think you misunderstand einstein's views on the divine:
It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it.
- Albert Einstein, letter to an atheist (1954), quoted in Albert Einstein: The Human Side, edited by Helen Dukas & Banesh Hoffman
The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this.
Letter to philosopher Eric Gutkind, January 3, 1954
It seems to me that the idea of a personal God is an anthropological concept which I cannot take seriously. I also cannot imagine some will or goal outside the human sphere.... Science has been charged with undermining morality, but the charge is unjust. A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death.
- Albert Einstein, "Religion and Science," New York Times Magazine, November 9, 1930
I cannot conceive of a personal God who would directly influence the actions of individuals, or would directly sit in judgment on creatures of his own creation. I cannot do this in spite of the fact that mechanistic causality has, to a certain extent, been placed in doubt by modern science. My religiosity consists in a humble admiration of the infinitely superior spirit that reveals itself in the little that we, with our weak and transitory understanding, can comprehend of reality. Morality is of the highest importance -- but for us, not for God.
- Albert Einstein, from Albert Einstein: The Human Side, edited by Helen Dukas & Banesh Hoffman
But irrespective of that - what hole in my logic? You claimed one and then didn't state it.

There is a wide hole in all human logic. We only state what we know, feel, and think. We know very little and close to nothing, we think about what we want to which is less than what we know, and what we feel is truely far from logic. Humans like to know but we only know what we preceive to know. Good day gentlemen good day. There is a difference between complete disregard and a true hunger of knowledge. Those whom wish know something search through all they can, those whom do not search through one thing learn one thing less. Learning and knowing are two different things. All things can give you a new question if you wish to know. The more you want to know the less you'll learn and the more you'll find you know less than you thought you actually knew. The pursuit of the intangible will bogle minds, confuse logic, and toy with hearts. Good luck cause I have faith and faith is not knowledge, no where near logic and of course never has been described as a feeling. Christianity is the most openly attacked faith from the very day it was born in the world.
The faith not the religion. Religion is inherently manmade and imperfect. Faith cannot be destroyed by man. If it could no belief would exist very long at all, cause man has a tendency to destroy that which it doesn't understand, and people that it fears. Enjoy contemplating. A nerd wants to know, a geek wants to guess.

Of course. How did I know I would find a bunch of comments arguing about if God is real or not? Pfft...typical humans. Download or don't download and STFU.

Anyone know where one can find a copy of the japanese audio to this?
Or at least what it was called in Japanese. Can't do my own cross-reference since this isn't listed on standard anime sites (was pleasantly surprised to stumble across it here
. I do love BakaBT.

Religion is inherently manmade and imperfectI am surprised that you have knowledge of all Religions that exist in the world.
There are almost 21 major Religions exist in the world and I don't know how many are there in total so claiming this means you have read all the Religions (their guide books etc) right? You are just claiming it because you believe there is nothing that is perfect.
Almost all media in the world crushes the concept of God/Supernatural. Sometime everyone is God, sometimes God doesn't even exist, sometimes God is someone who has all the power and sometime God has lost all of it's power.
I can't find a single movie or TV series that's story is same as what's written in it's Religion guide book.

interesting interpretation of a section of Luke, but the animation is not as well made, so I do not know how much attracted the attention of those who have only misconceptions. they will always remain at a mediocre level and contemptuous of historical reality and face some truths that fundamentally changed people's lives.
As for reading, it would be nice if many of you know what the New Testament says (to have a direct, unfiltered opinion)
It is also interesting to know how philosophy and Christian morality is played by writers such as Dostoevsky in "Crime and Punishment", or Leo Tolstoy in "Resurrection"
