In right hands LDrip may come out better than DVD one, because LD isn't digital & doesn't have any compression.

I enjoyed watching this, but it was too short to really do a good job with all the characters or the amount of story they tried to pack into it.

the good ones are always left for later.It's more a case (it seems) of the currently active "approval staff" (like 3 of them?) feeling more comfortable (in general less complicated) with hentai, manga and music offers and less so with anime ones...

I'm watching the raw that ARR used, atm.
It seems that it is undecimated and I also suspect that the video is fullrange (pc-levels). So for better quality, you might want to enable avisynth in ffdshow and run tdecimate() to make pans smooth (of course, avisynth needs to be installed with tivtc dll files in plugin directory); the levels can be adjusted with ffdshow by forcing rgb32 output and switching input levels to 0-255 (in "rgb conversion" tab).

Good grief, some of the subtitles are painful to read. (inb4 learn2nihongo)
