Well, rampage... it's just that everything got delayed during last year. The pipe is (finally) almost emptied though, so now the rate is going to return to the usual "several months, nothing".

The background/scenery art in these films is bloody awesome! I have never seen so much crazy use of colors and composition in my life.

March 8th 2012 (1 year and 2 months and 11 days)Both movies are encoded from R2j DVD (except tiny bits reused from r1). The US discs, while coming from the same progressive master, have been subjected to various "enhancements" like contrast and saturation increase and sharpening (simply put - decibel wars, only in video). This makes the R2J dvds superior (as a bonus, there are japanese credits for both movies and full-bitrate AC3 audio).
I only bothered to fully watch my own encodes, but generally the video quality difference shouldn't be big, except the damn contrast.
The r1 dvd for movie 2 has stronger overcontrasting than the acceptable level in movie 1; a lot of stuff gets clipped to white, and they went hard on saturation too - note how the clouds are turning azure.
