@xgraphy, damedame, jackdanyls,

thanks for the feedback. I know that the file size isn't too bad considering the quality, I guess I've been used to 720p 13 ep series around 8gb and didn't think to double that for a 26 ep series. Like I said earlier, storage space is becoming an issue, who thought I'd ever fill up a 2tb drive?

any comments on the quality of the 480p release? obviously not as good as 720p, but how rough is it to watch. I'm on a 60" plasma setup, and I do notice a difference between SD and HD files. So just wondering if the 480 is acceptable considering the large reduction in file size.

Thanks again to all uploaders for the great releases on BBT.
Filling up a 2 TB drive isn't that tough... I"m coming close to filling one, and it's almost entirely composed of SD releases, raws, and only about a dozen 720p releases. Several months ago, I had the chance to watch some of the 480p version on a friend's 52"(?) LCD screen, and I thought it looked good enough. But there were probably artifacts I wasn't paying attention to, and my standards are undoubtedly lower than most. After all, I willingly watched this release and didn't come down with eye cancer or anything.

@Zalis116

I was the same as you. I didn't care about quality so much, I just wanted to watch the story. But after my first few HD rips, I find it tough to go back to SD, which is why I'm so torn with file size now. I guess its time to save up and build myself and 8-TB RAID server!!!!

@Zalis116 & @luigimario I totally understand~ HD is so OP, SD doesn't do anime justice sometimes. Just take the plunge, more likely than not you'll only watch this once, so treat yourselves! They went to the trouble of encoding the HD, might as well hehe.

Thanks for the upload, will seed this for a while!  :-D

I tend to download coalgirls as a last resort if I can't find any other group that did a BD release.

 Not sure what you mean by "OP," but I get what you're saying in general. Unfortunately, if I were to download and watch this release, I'd only be "treating" myself to lag, CPU strain, and at least 33% file space overhead. None of this is Coalgirls' fault, of course -- it's all because of my rather ancient PC. And on some level, I think it's better to stick with SD -- sure, I might miss out on a show or two or have to watch censored TV-rips or streams, but at least I don't have to exclude years or decades of anime output because it's too low-res.

I'm assuming OP means over-powered , meaning ridiculously good.

Jeric's comment. "I totally understand~ HD is so Original Post" doesn't make much sense, does it?

This anime...I've been in kind of an anime slump where most of the things I've been watching lately have just been too...stereotypical/same-same and halfway through I'd just quit watching them. Hanairo, though, was something wonderful. I couldn't put it down. I think I've just been watching/reading too much romance lately and this was a good break from the heavy romance plots but still had just enough to make me smile. The characters were phenomenal, even "perfect" Yuina was well done, I was quite pleasantly surprised in how they handled her and I felt that each character got their fair share of time (though I would have liked to have seen more Tomoe and Ren).

Anyway, it's easy on the eyes and the story isn't anything convoluted, it's another brilliant work from P.A. Works, the arts good, the characters good, most of the dialogue is good (though it took forever to figure out what "fest it up" meant) and I liked the OP/EDs. If you're in the mood for something with a good balance of laughs, cuteness, a bit of suspense and daily life, this is certainly a fabulous choice.

Soft color tones. Lovable characters. Cute plot. Easily one of the best slice of life anime I have watched.
