Wish [Scans]  

What else to say, this is the TokyoPop release of Wish by CLAMP. It has higher quality scans (will do screenshots in a few), More detailed yet Westerized translatation and has the missing pages not present in the fansub. (106-107). The scanner did not credit themselves and I did get this from Manga Traders.

I would also like to add this has all the pages and covers, you know table of contents and all those pages.

Move the snippet about TokyoPop to a Comments:-line.

Okay, I really don't want to add four more screenshots or take away four, is there a way to get 2 rows of six? Why so many, so people can compare against the fansub. ... If you want a better preview, please visit the fansub torrent, thank you.

Btw I prefer the fansub due to the the translation of Japanese pronouns and I've read the fansub a lot of times. Not saying this is at all bad, this actually has a lot strong points going for it.

Kk As far as I'm aware I'm done. Although I have a feeling my torrent image may be a bit too big, did just take it out of the zip tehehe Please let me know if that is something that needs to be fixed.

Yeah, if you could just compress that cover image down to 150KB, I think you'd be good to go.

Kk it's at 170 though... Kinda only thought about the size when I was already uploading onto here. If it's a problem I'll go do that. Now learned an important lesson, about to go fix a couple other images...

Will this replace the [Alexa, BWYS] fansub version, or will both remain available here?  If they both remain, it might be helpful to put the group/source into the title to help distinguish them, sorta like WISH [TokyoPop] and/or Wish [Alexa, BWYS] or something like.  Personally, I'm always happy to see multiple translations, I feel they help reveal a truer sense of the original and make it fun & interesting for multiple reads.   So I'm not advocating a replacement, only asking.  If my opinion/vote is worth anything, I'd lean toward keeping them all in this and other similar situations.

Thanks for the higher res & more complete offer!    The visual quality on the [Alexa, BWYS] offer was a bit frustrating, especially for a CLAMP effort.

It was only a suggestion to visually distinguish them easily, somehow, going into the future, for the same reasons we usually include [group] in anime torrent titles.  When someone runs across them in a year or three, they won't have the benefit of watching the offer process in Real Time.  What's obvious to us today could be quite a bit more confusing later on, especially since it's unusual for more than one manga offer to be up at the same time.

Personally, I'm glad to see them both remain.  Not any skin off my back since I'll have 'em both in my archives anyway.  Just my OCD over intuitive information presentation and layout kicking in.  Titling the other one with [Alexa, BWYS] works well because it can help searching for something much less mainstream than the TokyoPop, which has its own keyword. ]

This won't be a replacement. And isn't the tag enough? I am more likely to do [Alexa, BWYS] then put TokyoPop in this title.

Well I'm done with the fiasco that was chapter four of the scanslation of Wish, maybe I made it more complicated than it needed to be tehehe

Anyway anything else need to be done for this?

@datora: Don't worry it's cool, I wasn't mad. Just been doing lots of torrent descriptions recently. Hopefully you find the the names suitable. I doubt there will ever be any other versions of Wish being Scanslated.

Actually I have a question for a mod: if there was to be a better Scanslation some time in the future, would you delete the Alexa one? I'm quite fond of it and it being the original fansub that is hard to find completely for download. I'm just curious what you'd do in that situation for any manga release.

WAIT! Don't approve this; came across errors with incorrect file extensions . I will have to go in and fix a couple images per volume. I will rename them and CRC them. Also need to rename files internally so that a few pages that aren't in order are in order. Just pages about the creators and the back cover, but they should be where they are supposed to be. Where they were intended to be by the scanner, they just didn't name them correctly. Basically I have to repackage all the volumes.

Done. About to request torrent swap, then we will be good file-wise.

Btw I've now read Wish three times in the last two days... Also watched the music video a ton since I'm offering that. How am I not Wished out yet... darn you CLAMP...
