I was able to watch these on my laptop: core 2 duo at 1.6 GHz, integrated Intel 965 graphics. It decodes them easily. The problems I had were with mplayer2's vo_gl output. In full screen, it is simply too slow to render 60 frames per second. When windowed, however, the issue had to do with the frame rate being so close to the display's refresh rate (or something like that). vo_xv worked perfectly.

i experience this issue sometime when i watch TV rips with variable frame rate. when some scrolling text appears, with news or whatever it is, i have quite some framedrops.

This is a really good drama. I can't wait to be able to dl this 
I've been looking for a better quality version for years lol.
The drama is still nowhere near as amazing as the manga, but definitely worth a watch.

Hey, thanks for this, it looks interesting. I'm just learning to read japanese, and unless I'm reading it wrong, the words in the poster read as "kimi was petuto".
Is is supposed to be read as petto instead of petuto? I'm still learning after all.

Manga was nice.
I hope the live action won't be too disappointing.
It's supposed to be read "petto". Note that the kana ツ is smaller than ペ and ト. Such small kana aren't read separately, they modify pronunciation of the kana next to them. The small ツ "doubles" the next consonant.

The manga was freaking hilarious 
but too bad the live action didnt stand up to my expectations 
Nuked it off from my hard disk right after ep3 watching any further would have been torture .

It seems JTV thought blur().blur().blur() was a deinterlacer...
The levels correction:

I made various changes to the subtitles while typing them, but that happened many months ago, so I don't remember much about it. For the more recent work, see here: https://github.com/dubhater/KimiWaPetto/commits/master.
The subtitles could still use a lot of editing, and possibly retiming.
