For some reason the 2nd and 3rd file wouldn't show any of the subs but the first and all the rest did. I don't know if anybody else had this problem or if someone knows a fix for it, the vlc player does show that it is supposed to have subs but for some reason not being displayed. other than that it isn't that bad a show.

been watching this all today and haven't had any problems using that video player at least

I highly recommend this anime. The pace is fast and although the plot is fairly predictable, it is interesting nevertheless. It's a nice departure from all the generic anime we've been getting the last few seasons.

Any BD or chances of any?FFF said that they were interested in doing the BDs. I think they've encoded some volumes too, but they are waiting for the v2 scripts atm.

Ya know, I was wondering what was missing in this anime and then I found out it was an adaptation of a video game. Plot was fairly straight forward. I didn't care too much for the neon colors for blood though. Not sure what that was about. The climactic final battle didn't make much sense. Not sure how the arch villain could withstand all of that. For just pure entertainment value, I give it a 7/10. The artwork was really good and is what kept my attention. The camera angles and animation were pretty static. Nothing too dynamic. Coloring and effects were good. The video quality was great. It played fine with MPC and CCCP. Voice cast was really good too. I actually had to search for more details to really understand the ending. That's when I found out about it being a game adaptation and there is a Danganronpa 2 game, but no second season.

Thai should have remixed the murders and the suspects.
Sense its pointless to watch the anime if you have payed the game.

There's a point, about 5m50s into Episode 3 that causes MPC-HC to crash for me.
EDIT: Happens again in episode 9 during the first "Objection". Subtitles disappear and then crash.

I don't know anything about the game, but the whole pink blood thing makes this utterly stupid. I'm deleting this anime, that's for sure.

Yeah, that's generally what happens with a lot of videogame adaptations (see Corpse Party for another example). Trying to condense twelve hours of story into about five or six means that all the things that should be shocking or otherwise emotional just come out kind of flat.
