I have requested a swap, adding the external subtitles for the aUmi files. These subs have been fixed by SayronCordin for improved readability. Huge thanks to him for taking the time. The complete Series 2 can now be truly enjoyed.

Added 'external' subtitles for aUmi files?

Does this mean there are some subtitle files, only, that need to be updated or does the entire
30G need downloading/updating?
----
Nevermind...I see just the .srt files have been added...
*woo*!...

Just looking at the files would have answered the answer, why would someone exchange the whole files for minor changes.

aUmi files (80 - 132)
Rip & encode: aUmi
Technical info:
Video: x264, 720x544 @ 560kbps
Audio: Japanese in AAC
Subtitles: Embedded English (SRT, "Engrish" from DVD)
Subtitles: External English (SRT, corrected by SayronCordin. Please select this track in your player)

"Subtitles: External English (SRT, corrected by SayronCordin. Please select this track in your player)"

is it just me or do said subtitles override the default ones ? i haven't muxed them in tho they are all siting in the one folder with the files i got from the other swap , i didn't change the folder structure , tho im noticing that they seem to be working i:e no more " brother"  it says "pops "   while i never want to see those other subs ever again  part of me wonders why the only thing  i see is this

I don't know about MPC, but VLC loads and uses the external subs by default if the file manes match.

ok so there isn't anything that says  "Subtitles: External English (SRT, corrected by SayronCordin. Please select this track in your player)"

in the UI ?

MPC-HC has a setting for this:

----

I've made a batch script to auto-mux episodes 80-132 MKVs with SayronCordin's subs and remove the original "Engrish" subtitles, and an auto-rename (using Lupas Rename, included in the RAR) to add the CRC32 to their file names.
You're gonna need to have MKVToolNix installed (or extracted to a folder of your choice), you can get it from here -> http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix
You need both MKV and SRT files on the same folder (which you'll set inside of the BAT file), with their original names.

First, extract the RAR to any folder, now you're gonna have to edit the BAT file in order to make it work for you.
Remember: don't add a leading backslash to the folders.
1-Open "Re-mux and add CRC32 to filenames.bat" with Notepad or your text editor of choice (I've added comments (anything in front of "REM ";) to help you out);
2-Set the proper path to MKVToolNix;
3-Set the proper in/out folders;
4-If you don't want to auto-rename the files, delete the last line.

I hope it's not too confusing.

I'm sure this is just me but for some reason with aUmi's upload of episodes 80-132 in the torrent, some of the episodes don't seem to be working.  :-/
Episodes 89, 91, and 123 to be exact.

Thank you very much, neo1024 and SayronCordin.

Please, let me show my gratitude adding some information about the OPs and the EDs. Maybe someone finds this interesting because the RiP files have them externally and, as far as I know, there are not ordered chapters in these mkvs. The second Lupin series has four seasons, and each season has one OP/ED:

Season 1: episodes 1-26.
Season 2: episodes 27-51.
Season 3: episodes 52-103.
Season 4: episodes 104-155.

Thank you, that's an interesting bit of info.
In these releases, episodes 80-155 have the built-in OPs and Eds.

wow. okay. I feel like an idiot for asking this but, is this english subbed? because I downloaded it and played it and there aren't any...
am I missing something here?

neo1024 (Ghibli Fanatic)

Yes, everything is subbed. The subs should usually appear automatically given right player. Have you tried playing in, for example, VLC? ;)

So how do I fix the subs for eps 80 and etc? Do I just do a recheck? Or download the torrent and load it?

neo1024 (Ghibli Fanatic)

May 26th 2011 (3 years and 11 months and 7 days)
Download the new torrent file and point it to the same location, where you have the files from before. The new SRT files will get downloaded, and then it is a matter of your player. VLC, for example, will load and use the external subs automatically.
