In response to me asking to upload the AIR game a couple weeks back (and being denied) a couple people pm'ed me about getting it. I finally set up a torrent at thepiratebay.org of what I had gotten from hongfire.com before they lost their crash or whatever.

i heard good comments about the air tv series and decided to check out the "artwork" before downloading the series. i know this torrent says the artbook contains nudity and i thought it means some teasing, innocent pictures but, oh, boy, was i totally wrong!

so, is air a hentai series? hentai game? please enlighten!

Tell me bout it, i actually bought the book after seeing the anime, I absolutely loved the art behind it. got it flipped through about 2 pages and was shocked! the lesson- check the background behind an anime always. man i look like a pervert to friends that know i got the book now! -_-

Air IS hentai. It's originally an eroge. The anime was adapted from the game.

Kanon, Key's other anime, was also a hentai game. Clannad (besides from Tomoya After) is the only clean series that had no hentai.

Air IS hentai. It's originally an eroge. The anime was adapted from the game.

Kanon, Key's other anime, was also a hentai game. Clannad (besides from Tomoya After) is the only clean series that had no hentai.

The Air anime is NOT a hentai series. It does not even contain ecchi scenes. It's a sad fantasy drama with some comedy thrown in.
The Summer Special I'm not too sure about, though. I hear it's more comedic than the TV series.
The original Air game is an eroge, though. Two of the three of Key's anime were based off eroge but were not hentai series (that is, Air and Kanon). I've personally watched all three (haven't started on Clannad After Story or Air Summer Special yet) and I can confirm that all three are not hentai series.
I've watched lots of anime series that were based off eroge, and the general trend is that the anime is usually not hentai even when based off an H game. Perhaps the creators saw it as a chance to emphasize the story more.
