This is the best version out there until/unless someone does the DVDs at some point.

I agree most dubbed anime sucks.  Too much is lost in translation between japanese and english.  not to mention all sorts of jokes that don't have any parallel in english :P.

You have to think about the people who dont like to watch the TV the entire time the anime is on. For example I have dubbed anime on almost allday when I'm on the computer, without the dub I would miss everything. Dubs are just as good as subs.

you should of put the 3 final ova eps with this torrent that way it would of been done, the 3 ova is the ending to this.

the 3 ovas forming the end of happy lesson don't belong with this series for the same reason the first set of OVAs and the first series don't belong here..... they're separate series and therefore should have their own torrents.  When you start grouping series together, you end up with huge torrents where often people only want a certain part, resulting in messing about with partial downloads or making space in double figures of gigs for it, added to which you have to make sure each element in the torrent is the best there is, otherwise you'll be forever amending the torrent to replace a particular part with a better version.

Dubs are nice to have. I prefer to watch a series/ova/whatever the first time with subs, then watch it a second time dubbed so I can fully appreciate the animation.

I can't really watch everything when I spend 75% of my time watching the lower 15% of my TV screen!

Glad to see this. This is one of my favorite series and I have seen all of it.

The 3 OVA ending should be considered to be ep 14, 15, and 16. They are definately part fo the series.

As pointed out above the 3 OVA's are still available seperately.

Anlushac11...
The 3 OVA series 'final' should not be considered episode 14,15 and 16 because:
1.  They were not made for TV release (hence 'OVA')
2.  They were made almost a year after the series.
3.  The production company gave them a different name to the series ('final').

They are a SEQUEL to the series, the same as this series is a SEQUEL to the first series.

First came the original OVA series.  This was a 5 episode series, which was made over a period of 3 years.  The first episiode of this was hacked up slightly to form the first episode of the first TV series, which was made 1 year after the OVA series started.  Episodes 2 to 5 of the 1st OVA are separate stories.  You won't find eps 4 & 5 of these subbed anywhere - no-one ever subbed them (I have the raws in the hope that a group will pick them up some day).  Things get simple after the 1st OVA - 1st series, 2nd series, then the 'final' OVA (3 part).  That's all that were made apart from a 'special' episode released on DVD (11.5 in the 1st series) which was mostly made into an episode of the 2nd series anyway so don't worry about missing it.
In summary, I think the best order to watch is....
Eps 1 - 3 of the 1st OVA
Happy lesson TV series
Happy Lesson Advance TV series
Happy lesson 'final' OVA (3-part)

If you can understand the RAWS of ep 4&5 of the first OVA, I'd watch them anytime before the 'Advance' series.

Tremorsj41 - Lime-anime have just released the dual-audio DVD versions of the first series & it\'s at their site (surprised no-one\'s put it up here yet).  They\'re also doing one of the OVA series - they\'ve released 1 episode so far - but I\'m not sure which OVA set it is.  If you want the Raws of ep. 5 & 6 of the original OVAs, you\'ll have to get them from e-mule or winny, but for the first 3 try Hongfire.

OK, here is a stupid question:
Why are op 4 and 5 not subbed?

@Global I have the raws to ;)

MDAnime - I think the reason those two episodes aren't available subbed is because of licensing.  I think the license was bought for all 5 episodes, but only episodes 1-3 were subsequently released outside Japan (apart from China - which is why 4 & 5 are available with Chinese subs).  So 4 & 5 won't be done by an encoding group because the english DVDs aren't available, and the sub groups won't do them because they're licensed.

If anyone wants to tell me how to make a torrent so I can upload it out of what I have then please do so.

I think I might have the first three Happy Lesson OAVs or they could be OAVs from Advance...(do they have any OAVs??)
