A highly experimental piece in a mishmosh of styles and techniques. Interesting, but way over the top.

I'll love KAA forever for giving me Kino's Travels, it's been a while since I last visited their site though.

I'll pick this up.. at the very least to fulfill my curiosity.

Saw this when it was upped a while ago...very interesting and unique movie. Can't really say it was 'good' but it definatly is worth watching just for the experience.

I was totally turned off by the art style.  Don't expect a cinematic masterpiece with this one.  It's no Miyazaki piece, I'll say that much.  The story was okay, but not at the expense of your time.  That's my two cents on the matter.

This movie was great! The artwork was amazing and the use of basicly all animation technices ever is just awesome. This movie is not a regular movie, but rather a "trip" with amazing atmosphere.

In the end I didnt understand shit about this movie, but I am very happy I watched it non-theless.

Watch it if you want something unique and thought evoking!

I think I might have commented one like 2 torrents ever, and I've been around this site for like 2 years, I have to say, that was the most ^$#$%'d up awesome movie I have ever seen, I loved it, every aspect, the music, animation, story, everything was just fantastic.

Easily my favorite non-Ghibli anime movie. The video quality on this release is pretty good, but you can get a flawless DVD-R of it at www.asiandvdclub.org. Obviously though it'll take a longer time to download.

My first impression of this movie was that it looked like a wannabe-artsy cartoon that was intentionally made to look as if it was drawn by a kid to give it feeling of weirdness, or something.

I was deadly wrong!

The animation is amazing. Superb. An example near the beginning is the physics of the bodies doing the yakuza carchase - as the car jumps, the bodies are pushed upwards and looks like they are very shortly weightless, as it would in real life. Another - also from the carchase - is the reflection in the hubcap, where the constantly changing distance between the wall and car is quite detailed.

List goes on with small scenes that truly amazed me. Not your average "Naruto jumps from tree to tree in a streight line while magically avoiding clashing with one"-loop shit.

I wish I'd seen this on the big screen, where I know the sound would have had a greater impact on me.

Do watch it.

This movie actually beat Howl's Moving Castle in 2005 to win an award for Best Animation, so there you go :P

more surreal than "Cat Soup", need more time to look through all that fast paced scenes in slowmode ;P

I like it.
