Whoever said riding 55 miles isn't much must not have actually ridden 55 miles and if s/he had ridden 55 miles at age 12, my question then: was that all downhill?
I'm an avid road cyclist, trail and mountain biker . An average road cyclist rides 50 kilometres per day or roughly 300 kilometres per week. It's not 'hard' but it's not easy, especially when you're clocking 35km/hr to 45km/hr (about 22 up, 60 to 70 down) consistently for an hour plus. Climbing hills isn't easy. Even if you're going up a steady degree of 5 to 10, it becomes quite daunting over time. The toons in the anime were climbing 35 to 45 degrees clocking at what I guessed at 20km/hr to 23km/hr. That was crazy!
Anyway, when I first got my hands on Over Drive, I was skeptical but after watching three episodes, I got hooked! Sure, it wasn't realistic, but the series was inspiring. The art could have looked better and wasn't consistent throughout each episode. The animation pretty standard. The music is awesome. Character development, progression and interaction was nicely done. Story is pretty good.
I hope they have a second season, but what I found is that most great anime don't. Someone please prove me wrong.

This anime has a reather uniqe animation style I think, or feel. never the less the story is great, music is perfect and really completes the fantastic mood at the climastic times. I really do hope we get to see more of this anime (another season or OVA) so we can follow the story of this group of crazy sycling maniacs. No matter what this Anime is great entertainment. But it does look like this is a one-season thing. See the end and you know what I mean. I hope i am wrong though. Absolutely worth the time to download this! (I will seed as much as I can. but send a PM if I am not and you want it.)

i actually liked this one a lot. finished it off in two days. there were a few really corny parts. what was up with the second half of episode 23? and the riding itself is a lot less technical in the show than it is in real life...i mean a lot less technical. 186k with climbing after a month of riding? wheres the water at? food? talking and screaming during a sprint? being a cyclist myself, its hard to buy into all this, but nevertheless, i did anyway. but despite all that, i thought the show had a lot of spirit. and despite not liking the characters a first, they kinda grow on you and the director does a pretty good job of showing the depth of the characters. i hope there will be a season 2.

Enjoyed this anime a lot! The spirit of is was nice, really boosted my longing for the cycling season.
It wasn't very realistic though, don't think the creators had been watching that much real cycling races...

Enjoying it very much, despite some of the unrealistic elements (at least there are no superpowers!).
Not getting a single seed at the moment though, anyone out there?
