Possible replacement for current BSS DTV rip
Source DVD, And much better fps but loses a bit in Audio bitrate..
So probably no need to have any comprahisons?
Also Im not the god of making descriptions. Only thanks for the Macros for lending me this description. Only problem is the text color (not possible read if color was white, so used basic BBCode green)
going now to sleep, mods can decide what to do with this.. (and all fixings comes tomorrow! just write me here what I need to fix and I fix em!)

Billoo I was just writing this comment! Im not superfast!

The green text makes it a smidge hard to read.

Using white field with opacity setting would be a good idea.

And thanks for fulfilling my request ;]

if so, the bg picture needs to be moved to the right to prevent cutting off face of that... um, wolf?

Easy solution for maximum glory: flip picture horizontally and add a box with a 30% (or somesuch) transparant 1pixel white .png background behind the text (and only the text!). The contrast on that picture is too nice too hide it under a ful layer of transparency. Check for instance blubart's white album description for pointers.

Where did moo-shi source its subs from for this release? DVD-subs or taken from another group's script?

How can something have a better fps? Please elaborate what you mean.

Fps are the same. He probably means kBits/s. This one has more kBits/s than the DTV version.

Now consider the same screen shots from BSS:

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/4127/002540.png
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/1971/013987.png
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/9436/016740.png

The Moo-Shi release appears overcropped on top and bottom in all 3 shots, lacking of detail largely apparent on the basket in screen shot 2, and undercropped most obvious on the right and left sides of screen shot 3.

Green text and white links. That doesn't work well at all. Try something like this, only white? I used a 75% black background, if you want to know.

Just agreeing with Southrop and a few others who mentioned this.  Being visually challenged, I have to say that the color choices make it nearly impossible to read the description and to see the links. (Actually, I could NOT read them so I ignored it.)  It might be a good idea to choose some other colors and move the picture aside some.  It's a shame to print over that poor critter's face.  He's pretty cool.  It'll be even more of a shame if people don't download due to difficulty reading the description though.

I have some doubts about the translation. I'll wait for Psyren to comment as he knows more about moo-shi's quality.

I'd like to know who's subs they use as well. Ainex's or BSS's. Hmm.. they also could have used Crunchyroll subs. They're not bad or anything, but we still want to know the subtitle source for our decision.

Edit: There aren't any "official" DVD subs.

Moo-Shi also sharpened the video a bit too much, while the BSS screenshots look quite neutral. Look on the lines on the shirt and you will see more artifacting in the Moo-Shi screenshots. Hard to say how it would look in motion though.

If I remember right both BSS and Moo-shi had same subs so I kinda think that subs are same as BSS
Yet they didnt tell in their sites that It would be anyones subs so Also theres possible that they subbed this with own subs

Usually the oversharpening is a problem from the source, it really happens on almost all R2J DVDs. But otherwise the video doesn't show any major advantages to the DTV rip, I'd assume that it would have animation fixes though.
Also, I wonder if the DVDs itself were letterboxed, since the encode has quit a low resolution, anyone seen these DVDs?

(seems that its really hard to decide with this...  )
But the video is much better when it runs.. You can see the difference on them while you watch it.. its pretty hard to see it from images..
