I think the screenshot tag is BB code and thus have to be inserted after the closure of the </html> tag.

Ughh, I hate IE, doesn't remember what I wrote if I update the page...
ANIDB shows this as an OVA, and I agree, this is more than just a music video. It's a look back into Macroos' history of music.
But there is no already exiting starting <html> tag. So how would it work inserting a closure?
Anyway, I'm soon going home so gonna play with it for a while before I go back to school...

OVA would be more correct. It has many elements of a music video, but it also has some story that wasn't shown in the earlier instances of Macross. It also jumped around a lot in the music instead of playing each song fully. Though you might want to call that a medley?

i say (As i have the other version) that you can call it both...
in reality i would call this a "musical" or something, but that genre isnt up
i want to call it a music video though, because the majority is singing, with video to...

This specific release was released 17.10.2008.

Choujikuu Yousai Macross is a musical if anybody didn't notice it.

Now, Macross Flashback 2012 is just like the first series but with more scenes with songs

I just watched all of this tonight (i believe i did see part of it before at an anime convention), it was alright, a few of the songs i liked but some of the songs were boring, good animation of course (it's Macross), on a scale from 0-10 i give it a 7.5 (this is going by standards of older anime, newer anime is of much lesser quality).

I watched it a few more times, the songs i liked before i still like and all of the other songs grew on me except for Cinderella.
