Afro Samurai  

ROFLMAO! Afro Samurai is originally American-made, right? Stuff like this, like Powerpuff Girls Z, an anime of a parody of sorts, make me laugh until my jaw unhinges. Hmm... what's next, Avatar (Z) anime/manga?

The author is from japan and the maga itself was originally published in Japan... so it's not an American manga parody.

Just as Dille said. The original development team was Japanese, I actually confirmed this for myself when it was being aired on Spike Tv. It even said based on the original manga by "auther" in the opening credits. The English dubbed version was the first one, and that doesn't mean its an "American Parody". You sir need to get your facts right next time because you just made yourself look like an ignorant idiot.

LOL! My bad. I don't much see many black people as main characters in anime. So it's some joint project like Blood: The Last Vampire then? Made in Japan, but made for an American audience? I can't imagine Afro Samurai receiving much popularity in Japan. Ah well, I'm still optimistic of an Avatar Z anime, rofl...

Yep you nailed it... Its not just I'm black (its pretty hard to believe that one of us is watchin anime and using a comp huh), but you gotta realize that anime is starting to adapt to other cultures. I mean look at Bleach. I never thought that I'd see some Latin culture in an anime, but stuff happens. If I acted like a stereotypical angry black man I apologize (at least I watched the swearing  ). If you havn't watched Afro Samurai than you should because its pretty good.

Don't worry I had to laugh at the "angry black guy" comment. I just finished watching Dave Chappell's Show and Chris Rock: Killing the Messernger, and I was laughing so hard I was tearing. Yall should watch that even if it isn't anime.  

Been bit sceptic, to say the least, towards Afro Samurai... but then again, so was I with Samurai Champloo. So I think I will stuff away my scepticism, take a seat, and watch this show - and then say my thoughts afterwards.

Dave Chapell and Chris Rock is both awsome stand up comedians that delivers laughter in a rapid fire. As was Eddie Murphy - Raw, back in the days when he still did stand up (maybe he does even today, though I havent seen it). Another angry-fastpaced-rabble-deliverer is Henry Rollins (though he is a white dude) who's worth mentioning. Saw him live some years ago. And those 3½ hours passed in a flash. It was wicked!

Does anyone know if this is undubbed or where I can get undubbed anime?

If you want the undubed Afro Samurai you have to download the english version Original language for AS is english

so this is a manga right cause its listed as one i dont understand what you me by dubbed and watch this anime nvm i was just confused i see

another unrelated question how hard do you guys think it would be to print and bind a copy just cause reading off of a screen hurts my eyes after a while

Maybe it is just a matter of taste? Know loads who, for example, just can't stand Samurai Champloo, but at the same time, there is the other half (me included) who simply adore/worship that serie.

Well... anyone know if there is a japanese dubbed version then? (hehe feels bit wierd asking for an anime dubbed into Japanese...)  

To look for something like that is just stupid Just watch the original   Original is always better!

That is the best thing i ever heard, wish everything was originally in english would be easier to say "sweet i can download an english only vid instaed of dual audio with another language i DONT UNDERSTAND"

how do u watch anime and get upset that it's not dubbed? i mean all the good stuff is coming from japan why do they have to cater to an american audience when they speak japaneese? i mean that's like saying before i go for a visit in china everyone there needs to learn english  

Whenever Afro Samurai comes up, it really shows you how ignorant and racist the anime community is...

I liked the anime very much, let's see how's the manga...:)...
I also adored samurai shamploo...A little weird though their mixture of modern and old times resulting in a great anime... ...in my opinion off course... ...a little of the same in afro-samurai...

I always liked unusual characters...

Craaap, this exceeded my expectations (surprised the shit outta me). Thought that this would be a so-so manga. But it turns out to be good!
