4:3 not 3:4 aspect ratio. You may want to note that these are ~14 minute episodes or w/e instead of normal length. Otherwise, it looks good to me -- I watched A-E's awhile back, and had been looking to rewatch with F-B's subs for variety. DVD-quality is a nice bonus

Not a big fan of the series(remember at the time there were a few 13 min ep series....like wind I believe). Decent enough and goes by quickly at least.

Double Wish is quite a good series, though I preferred the series it was shown with - Final Approach.

I'll grab this though, as I've still got the original tv rips.

this show is everything that is wrong with anime, ever.  so... SO bad.  vomitously bad.  35-year-old virgin living in his parents' basement with a tiny penis masturbating on his love-love body-pillow type of bad.  the entire 'harem' genre just needs to be shot and gutted.  blargh.

really i'm only pissed off because it's this kind of insipid nonsense that's seeping into all the other genres nowadays.  i wish all the otakus would grow some fucking balls so the rest of us could enjoy some quality animu without dumbass 12-year-old submissive klutz girls with glasses and rediculous ribbons showing up every ten seconds.

it's called 'originality' -- LOOK IT UP, NIHON.  WE ALSO DON'T NEED 'beach' OR 'christmas' OR 'festival' EPISODES JUST BECAUSE "it's that time of the year"  =/

you know what, nobody is forcing you to download it. i think this series looks good, and i'm gonna start watching it today. it cannot be any worse than stupid Naruto. and yes, we DO need the beach, christmas, matsuri, and onsen eps. i personally enjoy them. it's almost a time honored tradition in anime.

With those kinds of remarks, I'll watch it just to see who's right. I'll add my opinion later maybe.

Why would anyone want to watch this?
Out of a desire to watch anything and everything based on eroge/VN-type games.  Why anyone would want to watch it again is another question. Gluttony for punishment, perhaps? Despite being a fan of the genre, "somewhat above average" is the most glowing/exaggerated praise I can possibly give W Wish.

Are you saying it's wrong for underendowed 35-year-old virgins living in their parents' basements to masturbate on love-love body pillows:?: Besides, Ken Akamatsu already declared moe and harems dead, and shows like this will likely recede into the fandom's collective memories of the mid-00s. They're already being replaced by the envelope-pushing borderline-hentai shows like Queen's Blade, Kanokon, and Seikon no Qwaser anyway.

Nihon used to do originality, with shows like Haibane Renmei, Paranoia Agent, and Texhnolyze. But those didn't make money either in Japan or overseas, at least not compared to shows like Ikki-Tousen, DearS, and Girls Bravo. If respectable socially-adjusted living-independently non-virgin adults aren't going to watch or buy anime no matter how original or respectable it is, I say bring on the moe, lolis, and awesomely cool hair ribbons.

And there is respectable/original anime out there, but people (not meaning you) have too many arbitrary self-imposed restrictions on what they'll watch -- thus they miss out. Like refusing to watch anything that's not in 720p+, or in 4:3, made before 2005, made before 2000, etc.

well that's the problem really -- the general fanbase has become (or rather, has been for quite a while) too set in their ways and closed-minded.  the japanese businessman knows this, and will keep having his production company regurgitate the same damn thing over and over (bleach/naruto? -- though gintama was alright).  the same goes for the 'borderline-hentai' ecci shows you mentioned, that one is also being done to death -- and is really just a natural evolution of the harem (or rather, Eroge) genre in the end.  it's a shame that anime has to go through 'phases' like this based purely on customer sales figures.  far more interesting shows like 'Welcome to the NHK' really put this phenomenon into perspective.

but meh... i'm preaching to the choir i guess.  i do miss the cyberpunk 'phase' of the late 90's though.  this particular phase, from Ai Yori Aoshi and onward (and no, i did not like kanon/clannad), is something i will not miss.

and i suppose no, it's not 'wrong' for the middle-aged unemployed itty-bitty-winky-committee to masturbate on their love-love body pillows... i mean, what else are they gonna do?  then again i'm a 29 year old socially adjusted independent adult (jury's out on the 'respectable' part) and i don't feel the need to masturbate onto love-love body pillows just because i enjoy anime, and as such i appear to be in the vast minority -- so somebody must be doing something wrong.

that's just a copout.  besides, i've already seen most of it.  i wouldn't be commenting on it otherwise.  i like to give any series a chance at least -- the old "if you don't like it don't watch it" bit is just stupid -- how would i know if i like something if i don't watch it?  don't get me wrong -- i have no disrespect for the uploader at all, the industry itself just pisses me off with it's patronizing "here is some yummy cake, you must eat it" bullshit sometimes.

nice show, apart from some decent story-line, good animation and some unexpected funny scenes there also is another type of fun to see scenes:

that make me smile a little more as it is a nice 'imperfect' refresh in todays all so ultra perfect, digitally colored/remastered anime world.

ok here is a real problem. why does some parts of ep07 look like blurry (seems like interlaced):

while other parts of this ep are perfectly fine:

is this eps encode screwed? or some of my settings? ...or my head?
