Most of the new chapters are official, and the rest is kind of a grey area. Some from Gotlurk, and some from using Google to find chapters on Mediafire and Megaupload. I visited Franky House and got the few official ones they had.

No, still ongoing. I don't know how close the manga is to finishing though. I'm only on ch65.

I read all until now. Bakuman is the kind of manga which can be end in no more than 5 chapter without problems .Mangaka share to us little secrets or cases which are ,in his mind, the best way to explain us the manga & related phenomenum through his eyes . It appears that almost all editors and cases from Bakuman are pretty real.

I somewhat recall reading somewhere (and it's hardly a novel sentiment) that this was significantly better than the animé adaptation. Would anyone weigh in on that, preferably providing some spoiler-free reasons?

A lot of people dislike how the anime adaptation is handling the special expressions the manga has, that and how the anime is moving slowly. My verdict is, true, the manga gives a better atmosphere due to the expressions, but at the same time the ton of information the reader/watcher have to digest is better served on the screen. At least I have issues reading the manga whereas the anime moves along slowly enough for me to keep up. Of course, I could just read slower, but that wouldn't help since I remember better when I watch an anime.

It could just be TMD_A-Destiny's translation, editing and timing. I didn't have these issues with gg.

I've personally only watched gg's versions of the first 13 or so episodes.

I find a lot of the plot advancement stymied and the romantic infatuations of the characters are absurdly shallow. Ridiculously shallow. Their tearfully touted emotions are based solely on their romantic fantasies of how deep and important "love" can and should be. I want to reach through the bloody screen and slap them every time they stare at each other silently with their moistened eyes, failing to speak because they don't even realise their emotions have no basis in reality and thus no tangible, relevant, comments are possible. I suppose it's a poignant example of one of the major handicaps to proper emotional development and establishment of expectations in societies with strong influences from the media of western cultures. Essentially everyone deserves anything they dream of on the strength of the fact that they want it so beautifully. Thus everyone is a whiny, egocentric, self-entitled, naïve, moron, with whom I cannot sympathise.

On the other hand the depiction of the conception and production of manga is quite interesting, and I do typically enjoy comedies. I'm rather hoping the manga might feature less arbitrary character development and lay richer, more believable and sympathetic, foundations for the actions and emotions of the characters. If there's one thing I cannot abide in something not excused by the rule of funny, it's Deus ex machina, which I would extend to involve plot devices and developments as much as their resolutions.

Edit: I've now read through chapter 15 and thus far concluded that manga presents a superior format for this type of story. I'd been reading all sorts of persons commenting to this effect regarding the animé, but now I've really managed to make the comparison for myself.

There are two prevailing advantages of the manga medium that really improve the consumption of this story for me.

1) Pacing, the story progresses more quickly and smoothly and the static quality of the images and dialogues mean I'm not forced to endure any 3 minute segments of one of the characters standing around trembling nervously, at a loss for words. Tedious.

2) This being an extremely character-centric, internalised, story, the advantage of thought bubbles is tremendous. It's much easier to follow along with the true thoughts and feelings of the characters and the frequent ambiguity in those areas which so irked me in the animé are not nearly as bothersome.

So far I am truly enjoying this manga, thank you for posting it.

Edit #2: This series is amazing as a manga. Maybe the animé will pick up but honestly I haven't been this much more in favour of an original manga since Yakitate!! Japan.

Not to mention there are scenes of some of the support characters left out of the anime that is in the manga which does remove some from the story.

I love the manga and also the anime. The manga is a little more interesting because it shows more about each character (but not much more than the anime).

Another thing that I noticed (about the translation) is that the dialogues are sometimes nonsensical... I mean, the sentences in english are out of order and the just don't make sense. I'm glad that the manga is avaiable and I have to thanks to the uploader but think of this as a constructive critique  ;-).

Anyway, the drawing are amazing (different from Death Note but still amazing) with a lot of serious matters and laugh parts too.

Edit: I just read a little more chapter and seems that only a few at the beginning are a uncoherent with the english. So, good work for who else has done the translation ^^

If you happen to just finished watching the animes first 25 episode and want to know where to start in the manga, is C35 where it continues.

So ch127 probably ends the Nanamine arc, gonna wait till the next arc ends until I swap for further chapters. 2 months and only 13 chapters more is a bit too troublesome for everyone to download the torrent again.

So I lied. I have time to swap now so I'm doing it, might not have much time later on. You all should be able to direct your download to your folder, and it should just download all the new chapters.

Thanks for this, although I think files under chapter 100 need renaming (extra zero to chapter number to keep them arranged properly) or packing into volumes.
