Is the video from R1 DVDs? Are the subs from CR, same as the DTV version? Do you know the source of these files or if there was any particular group involved in releasing this? Also, please give me the episodes/times used in your screenshots so I can do a few comparisons.

This is a fantastic anime. Definitely my favorite series within the performance/acting genre. I'll have to watch the '84 version sometime for the lulz. Looking forward to replace the old DTV release on my HDD as well.  ^__^

- Video is from R2 source (Chinese encode), and the subs are from CR (The only one available in softsub).
- There is no group involved in this, just me and the rippers.
- I didn't post any comparison because i thought the difference in quality should be obvious since the tv rip is one of the worst quality for it's time.

Please put that source information for the video and subs in the description. Yeah, I was simply curious as how much of an improvement in quality there was. That's quite a difference there.

BTW, I'd be very interested in getting my hands on the live action series as well. Keep an eye out for that, if you would.

Could you add CRC to the file names. Or, if you don't want to change file names, just add SFV file to attachments.

Wow ... not sure what happened here.  I grabbed the torrent from Nyaa last night and renamed all the files with the hash checks.  When I added the torrent from here, it only checked to 81.5%.  Pieces of almost every file failed check (some files looked like a checkerboard) and three or four entire files failed to check.  The very first and very last piece of every single file failed check.

So, just an FYI that something a bit fubar happened between the torrent as it is at Nyaa and as it is upped here.  Have done this about 50 times over the past year, about 49 of which checked 100.00%.  Have not seen something like this before with torrents that should be identical.

Heads up in case that indicates other problems that might show up.  I'm finishing the download as-is from here and letting utorrent correct everything to meet the BBT version, and retained a copy of the Nyaa version

[ EDIT: @allouh -- OKays!  So, it's expected behavior, not some other fubar.  Guess that means I can delete my Nyaa version; the BBT version should be sort of a "v.2" of minor tweaks, making it the most bestest version in the world right now.   ]

No worries, there is no problem with the files.
The modification here is only a remux for all files with style rename for many lines in most episodes.
This will result failing each piece that contains the header for each file, and each piece that has the modified style name located.

Does anyone else have sound issues with this? For some reason i have no sound at all on the files, unless i fast forward a bit. then the sound kicks in. Checked CCCP and i'm using the upto date version. it seems to work in MPCHT but not in Zoom which is the player i use most. Any ideas?

EDIT: Fixed, gotta love the guys at CCCP had an errant codec causing issues

I just tested the files with the latest version of zoom player and they seem to work fine. Check your filter settings or update your version.

Just watched the first few eps, and damn i sure hope someone capable picks this series up and does a proper translation, or hell i'd settle for a proper QC of the CR subs which at times are horrendous. Great series though

I deleted the nyaa version, and changed to this version as well.  hahaha!  sometimes, torrent can be like that.  My Les Miz I downloaded from here before, checked until 89.7, it wouldn't be 100%, pretty weird.
