remuxes are allowed under certain circumstances. like here where no other english dub release is available. we even have a wiki entry regarding remuxes. you really should read it.

There're two main types of remuxes.

Type 1: taking the raw video data from DVD/Blu-Ray and remuxing it to .mkv to add subtitles (along with some audio track, re-encoded from source or not)

Type 2: Taking an existing fansub/rip and remuxing it to add/subtract/change audio or subtitle tracks.

Type 1 is not allowed, Type 2 is allowed if the releases are considered worthwhile, as der richter says.

And speaking of this release being considered worthwhile... have you gone through and created secondary Song/Sign Only subs for the English audio watchers? if you have, disregard this, but the description doesn't mention them. Because without those secondary subs, English audio watchers have to either

A) Keep the full subtitles on the whole time -- some people routinely do this, but for others, the differences between the English they hear and the subs they read can be distracting.
B) Leave the subtitles off and miss out on all song lyrics and onscreen text. And as we know, this show has copious amounts of onscreen text.
C) Pause/Rewind to turn subs off and on to catch songs or text they want to understand (highly inconvenient).

To create these subs, extract copies of the .ass files with mkvextract, and then use Aegisub to go through and delete all dialogue lines.

I also would like to know if you re-timed the audio to match the video just so we know.

Why not just remux, re-time the audio from the BD to ANE release.

i'll be encoding this and melodies to 1080p and 720p dual audio from the sentai releases in the next few months. just thought i'd mention that.

However, I will be following Zalis116's advice to create the subtitles for signs/ songs later this afternoon.

I see no point in having to wait for Joseole99 for this. This dub came from the blu-ray, the BLU-RAY. Most likely the dub from Joseole99's remux will be from a DVD. I can understand wanting Joseole99 for melodies since its a webrip. But not this.
Ah I see... you guys want a real release and not a remux. Its going to be hard for him to beat ANE's encode.

i'm going to be doing the whole thing. video, audio and subs all from the bluray.

EDIT: actually, how's the type setting for the signs on ANEs? i might use that and then use the BD translation for the dialogue and songs.
