Actually, I've seen the introduction and summary of the anime that is the prequel to GTO. You don't want to see it though cuz it looks like some old anime crap from the 80's. Basically its about Onizuka and his friends in highschool that have a motorcycle gang and beat up people for fun. I think they're only like 9 episodes cuz its so crappy. Also, if I remember correctly, it got an extremely low rating too. Wouldn't recommend the prequel, looks seriously gay.

Its a great ANime, I fully recommend, But I cannot praise the subbers, as the subs themselves are tacky. Although you should still see GTO for the "Great Anime it is"!

Yeah, the first episode is extra long (i think 2x) but every other episode is normal length

Yea the manga is released and is almost at a end i think.. Last volume rleased i think was 24.. check stoptazmo.com i think they had it up to date..
And this series is truly once of the greatest i just loved how funny it can be and at the same time how serious and real thing that happens there happen in real life to...
Oh and some other stories about when Onizuka was till in HIgh school are in some diferent manga one of them named Bad Boys and anothet one i dont remeber the name but it was or is done by mangaproject
