I recently acquired a 10-bit 720p raw with dual-audio and I muxed in the SRT subtitle track. In the process of uploading it to my seed box atm.

So, the fact that this is a remux should be noted somewhere in the description.
Should ideally be compared to the current CHD release, I'll have a look at that.

How is the timing of the subs, did you check that? What is the source?

EDIT: in this case it would be better I think if you offer the original release with external .srt subs, just swap that in, thanks.

Added remux to keyword and title. The subtitles are from subscene, modified and timed by me.

If the subs are from subscene, they're probably R1.
And yeah, like macros74 said, it'd be better to offer the original file/encode + your re-timed subs as external subs.
Remuxing becomes more necessary when you're doing typesetting with styled subs (e.g., ASS subs) and need to mux in fonts.

Re-fetching the original, so it is exact instead of polished. I can swap if needed.

Edit: Swap requested

Ah, sorry. I meant keeping the .srt file together with the raw release, so in one folder.
Please swap this again.

Swap was approved so removed remux from keyword and title.

No worries. swap requested.

##

Should I remove the SRT from attachments or leave it?

##

And hopefully the last question/correction. I have it set as Movie. The 8-bit single audio on BakaBT release is listed as an OVA. Anidb also list it as an OVA with alternate setting. Should this one be changed to OVA?

I also released a 1080p 8-bit dual-audio (English and Japanese) release with English ass, srt, and pgs subs under the Kametsu tag using JYK's video encode. Only on my IRC channel via XDCC bot currently. I may eventually see about getting the m2ts to do my own video encode some day but I don't see it happening in the near future.

A 1080p release would be great, hope you will eventually find the time.

Thanks for taking care of this macros74. I need to study up on how to do the captures easier.

In my opinion,  as a non-expert, the only discernible difference that I see between CHD and Anime Land releases is a slight greenish tinge and ever so slight, less sharp edges in the CHD release. All things being equal the only real advantage to this release is bit depth and Japanese audio.

The timing could use a lot of improvement. You should break up the lines that have lines from two separate speakers in them and time them as two separate lines. (In Aegisub, what you do is remove the dashes and the trailing spaces from lines like these. Then you set the cursor after the final punctuation mark from the first line/sentence, right-click, and choose Split at cursor (estimate times). And then you manually fix the timing of each line [and then link the lines, if it's appropriate].) You've also got tons of flickering at the moment because there's almost no line-linking whatsoever.

I'm working on better subs for this...  ;-)

That'd be so awesome. I never claimed to be an expert at any of this. Timing subtitles and audio is a difficult task. I've given up on many a projects over that.

I downloaded Aegisub to take a look. I have been using Subtitle Workshop for many years and still don't have the complete hang of it.

Definitely ditch Subtitle Workshop and switch to Aegisub.
BTW, these are my favourite timing guides. I recommend them.

I read 2 of those list night and now can easily see how bad I am, lol. Also after reading those I see why Aegisub is better. Will give it a spin when i get the time.

I reworked the subtitles, and added as an attachment for ya'll to check. Probably still far from optimal but better than the other. Will swap out if ok.

I redid this a while back using a much better 1080p 10-bit encode from philosophy-raws.
