This is my first torrent offer, I have tried to follow all guidelines I could find, and tried to add everything requested, if something is missing, please do let me know and I will correct ASAP.

Certainly a good first offer, congrats on that.

- please link the direction, production and release group entries to, for example, AniDB.
- likewise use hyperlinks for the related torrents links.
- don't use a .png image (convert to .jpg) for your background, 150-200 KB is about the rage we're looking for.
- your screenshots have the wrong dimensions, how did you take them?
- please add keywords to the torrent title, use the 'Edit Info' button beneath your description for that.

Also: why did you pick this particular release for your offer?

updated and linked everything I can, i'll convert the background shortly, as far as the screenshots they were taken via VLC, and i'll add the keywords shortly.

As far as why did I make this my offer? Because we don't have any releases on the site, and they are VERY difficult to come by, especially the 1080p ones, so I figured for my first offer, I'd do something we are missing that is of high quality :D

Well, the screens should be 1920x1080, not 1920x1090.
Maybe try this?

I meant more "Why pick this particular release of this movie, is this the best one available?"...  ;-)

Ah, So as far as why this release, there were only 2 1080p releases that I could find, one being Mabors Sub, and the other being OtakuMura, OtakuMura's version is a much smaller filesize and has very inconsistent seeds, so I determined that it's bitrate, and hence likely it's quality, would be worse.

I am installing mpv currently and will be updating the screenshots as soon as I can.

EDIT: Screenshots updated using MPV with required settings as listed on http://wiki.bakabt.me/index.php/Screenshots#mpv

OtakuMura's version would be a bitstarved, hardsubbed re-encode.

It seems like there is a better subtitle option (if Nyaa comments are to be believed). There is also Doki, I believe.

Doki, yes, they used the official subs. Not to sure about the Mabors subtitles at first glance.
mottoj is likely not an option, but the VCB-Anna and sergey_krs  releases might be.

I used the AnimeRG subs from their 720p 10bit release, as I found them to be far more readable. If you know of a even better source of subs than these, do let me know, and I can demux and remux with them included. The original Mabors subs were a bit too small and hard to read at times.

From what I can tell, both AnimeRG and Mabors used the official subs and are identical timing and content-wise. If you'd like I can pastebin both for clarity and prosperity sake.

If it helps, I also looked at anna's and found AnimeRGs to be superior, I shopped around for subs before deciding on the AnimeRG ones.

If you like I can take some screenshots of each side-by-side so you can more easily decide?

So... wait a moment...

This is a remux made by you? Then we have something else altogether.

Aside from that, video quality is also a factor.

Yes, I demux'd the subs from the source and then remux'd while adding the AnimeRG's .ASS Subs with the included ubuntu .tff.

I assumed that I properly disclosed that under subtitles, and as the video source was not molested in any fashion and it was still Mabors Sub's encode that I should properly credit them as such.

As far as video quality, if you know of a higher quality encode then please do let me know, I searched hard for 1080p BD rips but only found OtakuMura's and Mabors Sub.

Also my OtakuMura DL finally finished and as Etzimal stated, it is bitstarved with hardsubs.

I do apologize for any confusion/miscommunications.

A swap has been put in to make the torrent the same as the original release but with the preferred subs/font as an attachment.

Included in the requested swap is all of the special content offered as part of the original [Mabors Sub] release.

Yeah personally I'd recommend the VCB-Anna release xDeathTheKid did over at Nyaa ID# 746500

Unfortunately that release is clearly labeled as a remux, as Anna only made a 720p release, not 1080p. I found what appears to be the official VCB-Studio release on Nyaa ID# 715008, which is the encode source for that remux you suggested, and it looks like it may have official subs, however the torrent is not in good health, and may take a while to download.

According to AniDB, the VCB-Studio release may have the best quality that has included subs, and that the ReinForce encode may be higher quality at a higher bitrate, however does not have included subs. If I can get a full copy of the VCB-Studio release, I will put in a swap for it.

So first of all, I checked the contents of the nyaa torrent by mabors sub: the external subs and the font folder can go. They appear to use official english PGS subs for their release, the softsubs are ?chinese? written in moonrunes.

We will inform you on a decision concerning which release we'll take once we've decided.

Excellent, glad to hear it, I am in the process of grabbing the VCB-Studio release, so if that becomes the preferred release I can put in a swap for it.

Seems the dub for this comes out in 12 days, and xDTK (the one who did the VCB-Anna remux) says he'll be remuxing it again to add the English dub.

ReinForce encode may be higher quality at a higher bitrate
bitrate ≠ quality

There are way too many factors that affect quality, so bitrate is no way to judge quality whatsoever. A fast encode at 16000 bitrate could look shittier than a slow encode at 5000 bitrate. In this case, VCB-S uses avisynth filtering while Reinforce doesn't. So any issues in the source are left in his encodes or amplified through compression. And that's without even going into the talk about the various choices on x264 settings.  All x264 settings and avisynth filters will effect the output quality.
