this cartoon really looks like it has nothing to do with japanese animation, not even a bit. it looks way more american style.

guees you like to post with out reading any information we have discussed here  :innocent:

maybe I have to explain myself a little better: I have read all the discussion and when I say "Japanese animation", I mean "anime style". this is not the first not-Japanese (meaning: "not from Japan" ) animation I see here on bakabt but sure it is the first which looks to me quite distant from anime style.

So glad this got approved :)  Really lovely movie!

Didn't make me cry quite as much as Oseam (another awesome Korean animated film), but still shed a few tears!

After a brief reconsideration, mostly me preaching to newer staff that we unlike anidb _do_ allow titles that are anime style even if they are in no other way associated with Japan.

I thought BakaBT only allowed Japanese anime. So that means "anime style" cartoons like Avatar: The Last Airbender are now allowed?

It's Korean.

You can argue back and forth amongst yourselves, but its quite painfully simple: you bring up anime; people think "japanese". That simple. You might want to argue against that and I frankly don't care, but thats how society sees it.  Ive always wanted to watch a korean animation thats on the level of clannad, code geass, etc. and not all these kiddy stuff they make. (I know there are a few out there, but don't bullshit me and say they ACTUALLY can stand up to the quality of evangelion, the rurouni kenshin OVA, elfen lied, etc.) I don't see why they can't: Ed Edd and Eddy's 3rd season was drawn by koreans. I loved the shit out of that show. Hellsing OVA's development team had MANY korean artists, in fact I see a few listed in the credits of many animes. I don't see why they can't group together and make potentially an awesome series with a refreshing perspective. Perhaps the dubbing? I've seen a few dubs for Ouran high school and gundam seed and I have to admit: they kinda sucked. I guess korean dramas are what they want to focus on. The japanese can have their clique high school girls with their generic personalities and panty shots, while the koreans can have their clique rich son of a CEO in a rocky relationship thats always bound to get accepted anyway....that and their convenient horrible driver whos always ready to cause an accident just enough to give their drama a "new" twist....facepalm... I guess it evens out in the end. Huzzah!

I finally got around to watching this (I've had it sitting on my HDD for a while XD).  I liked it a fair bit, really.  Even though I think Leafie was a tad deluded at times, she was sweet.

Part of it just kinda seemed like it skipped a whole scene though.  I can't remember precisely where, but it was before the halfway point.  Like she teleported from one location to another with no transition to speak of.  Plus Greenie just kinda ages a whole lot without them at least saying "X amount of time has passed"< but I don't really mind that bit too much since it is obvious some time has passed.

I have to admit, I kinda saw that last bit coming though, after...

Spoiler
The weasel babies are revealed, I could just see her sacrificing herself to help another mother.  Previously, when it was clear she wasn't in the best of health I expected her to just lay down and die shortly after he left, perhaps laying her head down right when he's flying off in the distance /corny

It's Korean.
I think he knows that, he said as much about it being 'not from Japan', but I do see his point.  It seems to have nothing in common with "Anime" in terms of appearance.  Anime can vary in styles drastically of course, but regardless you can usually see something and say "That is anime" if it is.

IE:  Manwha, while generally looking distinct enough from manga in general to be spotted easily enough, still looks like an anime style.  This doesn't.  I don't really see much in common with Eastern animation style myself.

It really looks, visually speaking, Western in style.  Bit ironic when you think about it, considering Anime descended from a Western style to begin with XD

Two words to summarize this animated feature length film (regardless of national origin): Sad Bastard.
I've watched it once since I originally torrented it, and it left such a scarred impact on my mind that I don't need to re-watch it in order to remember it. It reminded me a lot of the first time I saw Water Ship Down as a child. I was ready to do away with it and save the poor soul none the wiser by not seeding; dealing with whatever damage would be dealt to my share. However, the other day (after more than a year later) I noticed that I had not purged it from my computer, which could only be the undoing of my significant other (who more than likely restored it from the recycling bin). When confronting my woman about it ,she said she was saving it to show our one day future children, so they would know how to "appreciate" her :-|

In new light of my situation (and the circle of life), I've decided to begin seeding; maybe one day my share ratio will break off even, and I will rest knowing that I have payed-forward the damage that was dealt on to me (and my future children).

New leechers, you've been warned.
However, All in all; it was a good watch. I would totes' recommend watching it at least once.
