What an odd resolution. Result of cropping?

I personally don't consider Korean or Chinese animation anime, though I don't have a problem with it being on the tracker, but I would consider it more like anime than Family guy...
That's probably something Kye7 would offer

great film. already have the DVD, so I won't snag it, but I I highly recommend it.
~I know no one said Korean animation shouldn't be allowed, but Korean animation especially should be allowed here, since 99% of Japanese animation is atleast partly produced in Korea these days... look at the credits -- in a way Korean animation is anime, or atleast aniime is partly Korean
. Banning Korean-produced animation = no more anime.
(maybe?) animation seems to bridge some friendly relationships between the age old hatred between Japan and Korea (or maybe Japanese are taking advantage of Korean animators and outsourcing so they can pay them less, using the American big biz model). If it is creating a good relationship, that would almost be akin to regular Israeli–Palestinian co-productions done on friendly terms....
btw, Speaking also of Chinese animation, have you guys seen The Nine Tailed Fox? that is a great Chinese animation.
also curious if Russian animation is allowed here. ADC certainly allows Russian material, and ethnically and geographically quite a bit of it is Asia.
anyhow, there is tons of great Russian animation, too, besides Korean and Chinese, but I somehow doubt it is allowed here.

With great pleasure, I am looking forward to re-watching this. Soon. Yobi is really an incredible film. The story is amazing and heartfelt. The animation and set design reach into the realms of high art. It's a must-watch. If you like any of the Ghibli movies, don't hesitate: get Yobi. You won't regret.
My personal hope is that this film gets an English dub, and done properly like some of the Ghibli greats. Not for me, but I want to share this with my nieces & nephews who can't do subs (yet).
I'll also direct everyone's attention toward the soundtrack. It is pretty fantastic and well worth your time.
Arigatou, Mr. jackoneill.
Regarding the non-Japanese discussion, I am very in favor of quality materials showing up here. If The Nine Tailed Fox really is a good story, I'd love to see it offered.
Additionally, for anyone surprised by this offer, suggest strongly that you look up Leafie, A Hen Into the Wild (Korean) and Port of Return | Kao an (Taiwanese) for two excellent titles available here @baka. They could use a quality upgrade, if anyone knows of a possibility ...

Could you provide the original title for Nine Tailed Fox? Info is hard to find. Or do you refer to a title by Shanghai Studio?
Also a pity that two other Japanese movies with foxes. Gon-kitsune and Fox of Chironuppu, are not easy to find either though they are unique films too

Very pleasant film with superb animation. Story is mixed, well made but with some strange turns.
As far as Korean concerns, this isn't the first film from there to be accepted as "anime". Personally I prefer to listen to Japanese over Korean, but the voices in this film are very good. (I was exposed to a lot of Korean audio when we subbed Winter Sonata, so I've had the opportunity to form an opinion

I don't recommend this movie for adults, it's a bit too simplistic. But if you have children, they sure are going to like it!

Fit for any age if you have a right set of mind, actually. But like those cartoons from Ghibli it is, of course, more suited for children. But nevertheless, this one is as good as any jap anime
Honestly recommended!

July 26<i>th</i> 2012 (3 years and 8 months and 11 days)Comparison: http://www.check2pic.ru/compare/19730/. #1 and #3 are from scenes with fast motion, whereas the motion in #2 and #4 is not particularly fast.
The darkening of bright lines you can see in #1 is due to the dehaloing. Back then (almost 8 months ago) I felt it was necessary.
The DVD has ac3 and dts tracks, both 5.1. I chose the dts track because the other one is too quiet.
Since Arigatou replaced Anime-Supreme, I did not bother with the latter.
